Did DR have a growth spurt?
With Davila, gramstad, lateef, and then Dayton Raiola you have 4 solid QBs. The next cycle you go out and recruit a dog (hopefully Trae Taylor) that will be coming in as Dylan is leaving. It will be hard on the NIL budget to sign a 5 star Q every year. It would also be crazy hard to keep any of them on the roster if they aren’t playing.Needs a big senior year (and the associated ratings boost) to avoid being (likely) our lowest-rated recruit in this class and among the lowest-rated non-kickers we've taken in the last decade plus.
I hope this works out.
I'm not saying we have to have a five-star every year. But - at his current rating - he might be the lowest-rated QB we've taken in the modern recruiting coverage era. And it might not be close. With Davila, gramstad, lateef, and then Dayton Raiola you have 4 solid QBs. We probably could have had a couple guys who are ranked considerably higher. Hopefully he's still maturing. And/or out performs his (current) rating.
Lower than Ganz?
I think that all of the 2004 QBs (Joe Ganz, Beau Davis, Jordan Adams) were rated lower.I'm not saying we have to have a five-star every year. But - at his current rating - he might be the lowest-rated QB we've taken in the modern recruiting coverage era. And it might not be close.

Has he done any camps? Or because he knows where he is going hasn't been to many. Seems like that's when guys get rating boosts after the services get actual eyes on players.I'm not saying we have to have a five-star every year.
