Yeah, I'm wondering if this isn't Putin looking for a way to legally kill Zelenskyy. That's twice he's claimed Ukraine has tried to kill him.

I can't imagine a current wold leader tightening the noose around their own neck more quickly than Putin assassinating Zelenskyy.

How long would Putin last after Zelenskyy's death? Eight hours? 12?

Basically is that Trump looks at it all as a personal issue.  Putin is suppose to be Trump's friend and Putin's actions in Ukraine is a personal affront to Trump.  As usual it is all about Trump the narcistic baby man in charge.

In the end there is no "approach" that will work with Putin.  

This is not like talking to a 9 year old and trying to reason with them...this is talking to a grown man that doesn't give a f#&% what anyone says/does.  

It is like trying to reason with the Terminator.  

Now, you MIGHT get little pauses here and there but that is it.  Putin needs to die and once that happens you just have to hope the next guy is less like Putin.

So true - but with opposition crushed in Russian, only a Putin clone will rise up unless there is a violent uprising.  Russia is a history of strongmen acting in their own best interests while holding the average person down. For all of the promises made by communism of a worker's utopia, it was nothing but window dressing for the powerful and the wealthy that agreed with the powerful to have their way.

He has refused to understand Putin's motives in Ukraine because Putin played him like a fiddle and acted like his friend.  Trump caved on everything with Putin, because he truly believed Putin liked him.  Trump craves being liked by evil leaders around the world.
