Nothing "REALLY" happened...basically he went back home and got cold feet. He told his high school coach that he didn't "really" commit" and I am sure his high school coach chewed his a$$...In the end...his high school coach can't enforce anything when it comes to this and the "he said, he said" story

 
Accroding to 24/7 he only took 1 official visit, to Indiana of all places. And he has no consensus as to the crystal ball, although he did get 1 prediction for UNC last week.

 
While many high school football players signed with colleges Wednesday, one local standout player is still waiting. Hunter Dale, a standout defensive back at John Curtis didn’t sign.

Dale didn’t attend Wednesday’s signing ceremony at the school, and his high school coach said Dale is weighing his options. “He is not sure what direction he wants to go, whether it’s football or baseball or a combination of both,” John Curtis coach J.T. Curtis said. “He has some opportunities to do that, and he’s waiting to see how things unfold after signing day. He felt like it was in his best interest to wait.”



Dale was a member of the The New Orleans Advocate’s All-Metro Team after his senior season when he recorded 53 tackles, three interceptions, and eight pass break-ups. Dale took an official visit to Tulane and the Wave is one of the schools that will likely allow him the chance to play both sports.

“I’m hoping that in the next few days or so he will be able to make a decision about what he wants to do,” Curtis said. “It’s just a wait-and-see game right now. He loves playing both sports and he feels he has a future in both sports.”

He could have played both at Nebraska. No harm though. Good luck to him.

 
I completely forgot about Dale. This one is puzzling, he has a TON of reported offers. Something else must be holding staffs back from taking or pursuing him, maybe a qualifying risk? Seems odd that his recruiting process after nearly committing to DONU has gone cold.

Did Erstad offer him a spot?

 
He was committed to DONU and got an offer from Erstad if I remember correctly. I was thinking it was a weird break-up though wasn't it? Seemed pretty bitter about it with the old staff.
