S Hunter Dale [Washington State - Signed LOI]

Maybe he's seriously considering signing his minor league baseball contract. It would be an unusual thing to do but he could just be laying his cards on the table. College football is a nice bargaining chip so it's unlikely but sometimes these kids aren't being properly advised.

 
So what the hell happened here? It can't just be about baseball, right? He had offers from a who's who to top football schools (NU, ND, Florida, Miami, Oregon, UCLA, etc.) and chooses Wazzu?

There has to be more to the story. Did he turn off prospective coaches? Was Wazzu the only place left with room? Could he just not make up his mind?

This just makes no sense.

The third probably led to the second, imo.

 
Quick google shows him not being picked in the mlb draft. Also looked like he only played 4 baseball games this spring and went 2-3 batting. Also pitched 2.2 innings in 1 appearance. (Injury maybe????)

Something still is not adding up with his recruitment.
