Would love to find out...Let’s go Kaden, Francois, and Fleming! Can the header on this page handle any more commitments
Feels like the staff is kinda taking advantage of him but glad he found a way in, he can't play this year because of the way he's signing.
A blueshirt means a player begins as a walk-on but becomes a scholarship player in the fall. He is not eligible to play that first year, but also doesn't count against the team's 25-man scholarship limit for the recruiting class.
Let's hope hope we will find out.Can the header on this page handle any more commitments
That redshirt piece is one I hadn't seen yet but like you said he was going to redshirt anyway. Probably a shade disappointing he can't snag 4 special teams games or something but no big deal. Glad we took another step at securing most of the in state talent.Eh, he was going to redshirt no matter what. The paying for a semester sucks, but this is the easiest ticket to a P5 scholarship for him and the easiest way to make sure the team is adding as much talent as they can for the coaches.
Yes and no.Feels like the staff is kinda taking advantage of him but glad he found a way in, he can't play this year because of the way he's signing.

It goes both ways. I think Gifford was using offers from CSU and Air Force to get the offer from NU he wanted all along. NU wanted to bring in Gifford as a walk-on, but Gifford held firm and eventually got the scholarship starting in Fall 2020. Gifford was able to get the coaches to invest in him.Feels like the staff is kinda taking advantage of him but glad he found a way in, he can't play this year because of the way he's signing.

Are you sure he can't play in up to 4 games and still maintain the red/blue shirt deal? Any other player can red shirt and still play in 4 games. Does the blue shirt change that? That redshirt piece is one I hadn't seen yet but like you said he was going to redshirt anyway.
