I'd bet dimes to doughnuts that he's trying to get banned like the rest of his HLR pals. We shouldn't give him the satisfaction.

Yeah, I'll bet that's the deal. There's probably a thread over there someplace talking about the crap they dole out on HB. Why give them the satisfaction? A nice long vacation will keep the peace around here. Eventually HLR will die on the vine.

 
Yeah, if you read through this thread you'll get a pretty good idea.

I'll have to look up the specifics but he was warned repeatedly about trolling.  After repeated warnings he was given a lengthy suspension and told that his services would not longer be required if all he was here to do was troll.  After several months away, his first post was to troll Coach Power'T about how many favorite teams he has.

 
I thought I had a PM conversation with him to refer to but I can't find it now.

He was good buddies with several of the posters who got banned a couple years ago - most of who tried to form their own (now failed) board.  He's been bitter about it ever since and has been looking to fall on his sword.  He was given a warning by zoogs for advertising their new board here.  He got another warning from me for calling Redux a moron and an a-hole.  He then formally asked to get Banned but NUance gave him a 30 day suspension.  After being gone for about 10 months his first post back was to troll CPT for having too many favorite teams.  I'm sure I had a PM conversation with him somewhere in there but I can't find it now.  I gave him a 180 day ban for trolling, hoping he wouldn't come back.  But after being gone for over a year his first post was to troll CPT again.

Actually I'm a little disappointed in myself because I think my plan was if he ever came back I would just indefinitely suspend him instead of giving him the ban that he wanted but I forgot.

 
Thanks, @Mavric. I was being too dense to realize that when he said his two favor teams were playing, it was referring to the Nebraska/Oregon game. That was clearly toward @Coach Power'T, as you mentioned. It just went completely over my head, at first.

Yeah, his post history all but guaranteed a ban was inevitable. As you mentioned, he has been an extremely infrequent poster, so his absence should not mean much.
