@VectorVictor and @Comfortably Numb now both have status updates which I think are addressed to @BigRedN's porn addiction thread. I don't think they are as offensive as @StPaulHusker, but I thought I would point it out. I asked Vector to keep comments regarding that thread within the thread. As for Comfortably's status update, it may not have anything to do with that thread as it is rather general, so I am going to leave it along for now.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe we can move it to the P&R forum? There is a lot of religious subtext in that thread.

I haven't read through the full thread yet but, on the surface, I don't have a problem with it being in Health/Fitness. I don't know if I've ever seen anything like it but I think it's important to consider precedent should someone start one about drug addiction, depression, etc. It seems more like a mental health thread that includes religion rather than a religious thread about mental health but, like I said, I haven't had the full chance to read through it yet.

But just to provide some background: HeyBakerMark (now BigRedN) was the one who originally asked to have a Health & Fitness sub-forum. He said he was into that and would like a place to post stuff like that. We agreed at the time (a few years ago) and added it. BigRedN hasn't really followed through on being really active there - though maybe he's had other things going on - but he probably kind of feels like that is kind of "his" spot.
Not that it means we can't move it. Just filling in some details.

I just read through part of that thread - what a ridiculous mess.
I'm with BRI that I don't know if this individual instance is enough to part ways, but this has been his general strategy for a long time around here. He's also been very active in the Woodshed as of late. He's well within board rules to talk to people in there like he is, but I think it's representative of his general behavior. People who don't cause problems with other people don't have a lot of reason to get into pissing matches in the Shed. He finds himself in there all the time.
IMO, I gave him a clear directive to stop his poor behavior in his last warning. He's one of the rare exceptions where I would say that a future violation, even if it happens a year from now, may be worthy of a permanent ban. He's shown no signs of abating in the last several years.
