StPaulHusker

Just as a heads up. At the request of a few members, I've been trying to not let recruiting threads get too off topic. SPH is upset about this and I get the impression he might try to toe the line a little bit (been exchanging PMs). Just want to give everyone a heads up in case you see a warning for something that doesn't seem like a huge deal.

I don't know if this warrants action, but SPH has reinvigorated an old mantra to push back against people who criticize his opinions. It largely boils down to him getting defensive and saying something along the lines of 'it's just my opinion' or 'sorry for having an opinion.' It's all very woe is me. I'll paste some examples below.

This is a huge pet peeve of mine. It's a message board and we all have opinions. Criticizing opinions is what we do here. If he does it again, I'm inclined to PM him or say something in whatever thread he does it, politely asking him to stop.

I just read through your interactions with him in the Thompson thread and it's pretty much the same SPH garbage but in a different format.

Every conversation with him feels aggressive... almost like he's on a tipping point and a single affront will cause him to go overboard. It's exhausting. I want to be able to contradict someone and not feel like they're going to lose their s#!t over it.

OK.  So I'm thinking his status update mocking another poster's thread is deserving of a decent suspension.

But he already thinks I have it in for him so I thought I'd ask everyone else first.

Status Update about this thread

I saw this update before the thread and was really confused. Reading through the thread, StPaul has really out done himself. In fact, he was posting in the Miscellaneous Thread with the intent of bury the one from BigRedN.

I believe his remarks are trolling at a minimum and could certainly be labeled as cyber bullying. A warning and a suspension feel like a necessity given who this poster is and their history, which leads to the bigger question of how long of a suspension. He's had five warnings for making personal attacks since September, 2015. He was suspended for 180 days in August, 2016, and was warned that a repeat of his behavior upon returning would result in a permanent suspension. It's been almost two years since his last warning despite multiple close calls in the time since then.

I'm not necessarily advocating for a permaban but I think this behavior warrants swift and meaningful action.

So, while the initial thread is weird (and maybe in the wrong forum, idk) StPaulHusker is being ridiculous about it.  IMO, it's a 1 month break or more.

And I agree with Mav. He thinks we're "out to get him" from his Polo days, so... anyone else wanna drop the hammer?

6 months or more is my vote. He has already had a 180 day suspension. I feel this post warrants at least the same or a more severe response.

I hid the offending status update just now. I am on mobile, so I don't want to try and move it. No need for it to be on th HB homepage any longer.

I've tentatively suspended him for the remainder of the off season but I have no problem reissuing the warning for a longer duration if there's more support for that move. His history and this transgression are worthy of a longer term vacation.
