How quickly people forget how hard it was to get PPE to hospitals. I can't be the only one that remembers health professionals talking about re-using masks due to the shortage.
Importantly, it's not like he said "LOL don't wear masks" and changed his mind yesterday. The 60 mins interview was March 3, the CDC updated guidance on April 3.
Two important takeaways from this April CDC guidance update:
- They learned new information about asymptomatic spread
- Everyone needs to wear a mask now
