Tangent Thread - P&R Edition

I’ve stated many times,  that not all or even most of the main stream media is fake

whst I clearly stated was some of it was, so you have to question it all. One of the main culprits is what they decide to cover and not cover, it’s laughable how much or little attention they pay to things based on their narrative.

I’m no trump fan, I think he’s an egotistical blowhard that isn’t very wise about how he conducts himself. However the vile hatred he is shown, the piling on and never giving him credit for anything is just too much. I despise the guy, but seriously considering voting  for him out of spite this time because of the bias.

I am not sure why this topic is being allowed in the football forum, but if so, I agree with you regarding the anti-Trump media bias.  A study just published last week shows he has gotten 150 times more negative coverage than his opponent, and it doens't really require one to have to look to these data points to come to that conclusion.  If you simply look at the questions he receives at a press conference you will see the media is far more hostile and view it as their job to take him down.  One reporter last week asked the POTUS if he felt he should apologize to the American people for lying to the country.  This was an actual question from a White House press reporter...it was someone from Huff Post which I have no idea why they are even allowed in the press room.

I think a primary example of this just occurred with a very noteworthy UAB/Israeli peace agreement which would be getting Nobel recommendations if he had a D in front of his name, but it was barely covered on many mainstream networks.  And I agree that your or many others are likely to change minds in here.  The President could find a cure for cancer and would still be trashed or marginalized because he sent a tweet the same day they did not agree with.

You’re not changing your mind, so it seems pointless. It’s laughable that graph has Fox News to the right of oan and Washington times.
Fox news is very middle of the road, politically, except for the commentary by a few pundits on their own shows.   The other cable news channels are basically left wing propaganda outlets.  Even the ‘big theee’ ABC, CBS, NBC lean left of most Americans politically. But, you can learn from them all but it can be very trying to spend much time doing it.  Print news is much better but you need to read the entire story to get enough to be helpful.

And listening to any of the news channels too long will be hazardous to your mental and even physical health.

I suggest turn off cable news for one month and you will be amazed by how much better you will feel!

I agree with you. Outside of Tucker, Hannity and INgraham, the rest of the coverage nearly always bring in those with differing views.  Martha McCallum is very fair, so is Dana Perino, Harris Faulkner, and more.  This is likely a reason why there ratings are so much higher than the other cable networks.

It isn't. At all.
By comparison to what?   CNN, MSNBC, CNBC?  Fox is right of them but those three are radical left.   There really isnt a true conservative news channel today.  Fox tries to play both sides to get market share because there is nobody on the right to compete with.   But Fox leaves a lot to be desired as well as they omit too much as well.  It is just disgusting that a 24-7 ‘news’ channel gets about an hour's worth of news in per day and there is a big, wide world full of major news to report every minute of every day.  6 billion people in 200 countries and we get  live reports from some location in Europe about a story in the middle East!    lol.  So much is just a joke.

But real investigative news is work and nobody does that much anymore.   Gossip, rumor, inuendo, supposition, and plenty of fake sourced slander and libel fills thd airways much of the time.

The vehement defense of Fox says everything. Thank you.
