Tangent Thread - P&R Edition

From a football standpoint. Not political. Who actually cares if he calls the PAC12. They have no legit team that is going to contend, majority of their games are played late so no one watches anyway.

Because those kids deserve as much of a chance to play as ours do.

Huskerboard Left : "Fat stupid orange small wiener bigot Trump, who only knows how to degrade and name call, is only doing this for political purposes and in actuality probably wants to see all our black, brown, gay and handicapped players murdered...... but I'm happy our players will get to play."

Huskerboard Right : "The hands of Jesus have guided King Daddy Trump through stormy seas time and time again. He lives out the story of Moses on a daily basis, with courage and grace directly bestowed from God. The bible guided his conversation with supercuck Kevin Warren because Savior Trump knows what is best for all of us..... and I'm happy our players will get to play."

Just for the record, my post mocking HuskerNation1 bemoaning politics on the Football Board with politics on the Football board was yanked to the Woodshed, while HuskerNation1's post was allowed to stand along with other Trump-infused football observations over on the epic "Will There Be a 2020 Football Season" thread. I was also given my first Warning Point, mitigated slightly by the 4 reputation points the post received.

I'm not accusing Enhance of a Deep State agenda. But I'm also not not accusing him.

I am not sure why this topic is being allowed in the football forum, but if so, I agree with you regarding the anti-Trump media bias.  A study just published last week shows he has gotten 150 times more negative coverage than his opponent, and it doens't really require one to have to look to these data points to come to that conclusion.  If you simply look at the questions he receives at a press conference you will see the media is far more hostile and view it as their job to take him down.  One reporter last week asked the POTUS if he felt he should apologize to the American people for lying to the country.  This was an actual question from a White House press reporter...it was someone from Huff Post which I have no idea why they are even allowed in the press room.

I think a primary example of this just occurred with a very noteworthy UAB/Israeli peace agreement which would be getting Nobel recommendations if he had a D in front of his name, but it was barely covered on many mainstream networks.  And I agree that your or many others are likely to change minds in here.  The President could find a cure for cancer and would still be trashed or marginalized because he sent a tweet the same day they did not agree with.

Guy Chamberlin

Well just to be fair, the President of the United States is an unprincipled grifter who demonstrably lies almost every time he opens his f#&%ing mouth, has broken the emoluments clause almost notstop since his election, and continues to warp the Constitution to his personal favor, propped up by supporters who refuse to believe they're being grifted. Donald Trump has suckled at the teat of the media his whole adult life, and frankly they've been far too kind to him.

Say, I thought we were pulling this stuff out of this forum?

The warning came last week. Today is when I noticed HuskerNation1's post was still in the Football forum, unlike mine.

Thank you for sharing my outrage.

If we're being honest, doing something outrageous like, well, telling the truth about Trump is not especially en vogue in much of the country so as to not offend the very delicate sensibilities of the Real Americans™ .  So we're expected to go sit with our thumbs in our bums in a corner quietly.

Meanwhile they're allowed to launder the stuff mainlined into their systems through crappy right-wing blogs spreading like wildfire on Facebook and Fox News because again, they represent Real America™ . And god help you if you try to infringe on their righteous indignation at how such a messiah could be treated so unfairly.

I would note that it's generally the Real Americans™ who complain about politics in the Football forum when they hear the teensiest bit they disagree with and not us pinko Marxist commie bastards.

I feel the "thank you" is a bit tongue in cheek but I do share a bit of a quizzical issue about this with you. While I see that bnilhome's post is now in the Shed, I only noticed that a while after your post in this thread, so maybe it was moved here after this. And if that's so, that's a concern I share.

There is a LOT of Trump Talk in the regular football forum. It's almost always started by Trumpists, and then responded to by those of us who, rightly, see through his BS. But if you received a warning for responding to that post, I have legit questions as to whether H1N1/bnilhome also received a (justly deserved) warning for repeatedly violating @Enhance 's proscription against politics in the Football Forum.

And if not, I think it's fair that it's explained why not. Because that explanation would necessarily be guidance to the community.

Is this your Kevin Warren impersonation?

The regional media partners nor the players & programs in that area have also not been as vocal for bringing sports back. Yes, there is the obvious political angle as well but I think more of the west coast media would rather focus on what color shoes Kanye West is wearing than bringing back college football.
Pretty true, college football just isn’t a huge thing in most of the pac 12 footprint or their culture. It may also have something to do with the widespread riots, arson, looting and loss of jobs in this footprint. In addition to not caring much about college football, lots of people struggling to survive and chaos reigning in Portland, Seattle, Oakland, sf, la etc

I have tons of family in the Bay, they're fine. There is some unrest in the city but you make it sound like its a war zone. "Lots of people struggling to survive and chaos reigning", put down the fear porn brotha.

@HuskerNation1's post is in the Shed so far as I can see. There isn't a post history tool to say when it got there, though.  :dunno  I thought we cleared most of that stuff out but it is always possible for things to slip through the cracks, particularly when dozens and dozens of posts are having to be moved.

Complaining about it in the Shed doesn't really do anything unless one is simply looking for a cathartic release. If his post was accidentally left behind, and nobody used the reporting function on it (which, so far I can see, they haven't), it's unlikely we would go trolling back through that monstrosity of a thread to randomly find it.

It's pretty easy to see where some people get their news.
"Chaos reigning" as my brother texts me from a dog park talking about husker football.

I said "Football?, know your place Cali Boy, go light a building on fire and wait for the US Military to air drop food and fresh water"
