Texas A&M is rattling the SEC sabre again because of ESPN 8: The Bevo

I think the Big 12's days are numbered. I think either A&M or Mizzou will make the first move and bolt to the SEC and put an end to the conference.
It will only take one from the Big XII to do so this time around, assuming that the Big 10, ACC, and Pac-12 expand to 14 alongside the SEC. And per the Aggies Insider article, it could be Missouri that kicks this off, and not A&M--Missouri is already unhappy before Bevo TV showed up.
Yeah that's what I meant that either one or the other will leave and kick it off. The conference can't survive anyone else leaving since everyone already has plans made on where they will go once that happens.
I thought that they could always pull in an old SWC school anytime they wanted to.

FYI the new BCS deal only give ND one half of what the other teams get. In exchange we get paid 1.5 million in BCS money on years that we don't go to a BCS bowl. In an amazing coincidence we haven't been to a BCS bowl since that deal was announced in 2007, netting ND 6 million for sitting at home on NYD.
Just curious Joe, what do you think of the whole: "If Texas A&M was to leave, Dodds said the Big 12 might seek to bring in another school. Dodds also said if there was not sentiment to hold the Big 12 together by the remaining members that Texas and possibly Notre Dame could join forces to create a new conference."

So basically how do you feel about joining Texas to create the SWCx3 (third-times-a-charm) but move all your games to esipn 8 (the bevo).

bring OU to the B1G

As much as we would like it, OU wouldn't take it. A lot of their fans already spoke their dis-concern for it, saying that travel would be to big for the away games. Personally I think PAC10 would be farther to travel, but what do I know (17hrs to Ann Arbor or 30hrs to seattle).

Okay, since ppl aren't posting real links except for the aggies paper, here is the most current that I can find from NBC sports.

Chris Level of RedRaiderSports — a man with some serious shoe leather — tweeted “Just got off the phone with AggieYell.com’s Jeff Tarpley. Aug 22nd is the day when A&M confirms they are headed to the SEC according to him.
“Bottom line is, everyone needs to focus on Monday, August 22nd. That is the first time anything can be official when it comes to the Aggies.“

Interestingly, Aug. 22 is the same day the NCAA will hold a meeting to discuss the legality of airing high school games on institutional and conference networks.

Everyone on the Mizzou Tigerboard is crying about this and STILL how it is Nebraska and Colorado that started the whole house of cards tumbling. Only a few understand that it is BEVO that is taking down the Big 12 house, mostly with Beebee's acceptance.

I had to also laugh about one post from a Mizzou supporter. They mentioned that the only reason they didn't join the big 10 last year was because the Big 12 was still there and solid. LIKE...maybe they need to be asked to another conference first?

I say good for A&M. If it turns out to be true...

Go Huskers!

There was a news blurb on KSAT 12 Sports here in San Antonio about Texas A&M possibly going to SEC. Nothing in stone yet. Hope it happens. Can't stand the Longwhorns. Not a big fan of A&M either, but I'm sure you understand.

Which conference will get the automatic BCS bid that the big 12 will no longer have when they are no longer? Any ideas? Maybe WAC and MW can combine to get it. That would make my Wyoming alumi/fan of a husband happy.
