Therein lies the problem - they want a sure thing. Not gonna find it very many places anywhere in life nor should they. The key is whether the coaches are giving them a true, fair and honest chance to earn a spot. I think the difficulty for players and especially coaches is to be sure assurances are clearly expressed throughout recruiting and time in the program that the best player wins the job but the competition continues all along. Injuries of course happen and the competition should be open once health is no longer a factor.I think 80% of kids in the transfer portal are because they dont think they will see the field. So they are probably not going to choose a school that is a coin flip they want the sure thing.
Yup. That would be 4 4 star safeties under Fisher who have left before seeing a game. That Safety position next year and 2022 gets very thin now. This would not be good.
Is there talk about Francois not making it this summer, or is this just because he hasn't made it to campus yet?Yup. That would be 4 4 star safeties under Fisher who have left before seeing a game. That Safety position next year and 2022 gets very thin now.
He was an EE who returned home when COVID started, however, there is smoke that he's staying home.Is there talk about Francois not making it this summer, or is this just because he hasn't made it to campus yet?

Wasn’t he the one with all the drama on signing day?He was an EE who returned home when COVID started, however, there is smoke that he's staying home.

Well, at least Fisher has been able to get guys to sign. Williams talked a big game in recruiting, but couldn’t deliver on signing day. Plus, Fisher is starting to re-stock the cupboards with the 2021 class. If this keeps up, we're gonna have to start calling him Keith Williams...
During stressful times, it’s normal for people (especially kids) to seek comfort. These new recruits are coming in from all over the country, and the early enrollees didn’t have much time to gain that comfort within Lincoln and their new teammates. Missing that Spring practice was an opportunity lost for the new players to see how they stack up with their new teammates and form bonds. This occurrence isn’t necessarily a negative on anyone, it’s just a side effect from the current times. Are Miami area guys just virus spooked? No fans in stadium already announced.
It would not be a big shock if a couple players out of 150 didnt show in this insane year.
