I'm totally with you on the idea that politics shouldn't be treated like a game and that just because something is legal doesn't necessarily make it right.I think that's a problem with a lot of this stuff and that sentiment that, well it's within the laws, is that it's not a game. Too many people in this country have picked a party and just follow blindly whatever their dear leader tells them. Like abortion for example wouldn't be an issue in America if some preachers didn't decide they wanted to keep black people out of their schools and needed a distraction.
But, the fact is both parties have a history of pushing the limits within the legal framework to get what they want... especially when it comes to something like SC nominations. It's frustrating, but until there's some kind of reform, politicians are going to bend rules. Perhaps the focus should be on changing those rules to promote fairness rather than expecting politicians not to exploit them.
