The 2024 Election —What did we learn?

Just curious @Archy1221, where are you at on Trump pardoning January 6th insurrectionists? Do you think thats the right move?
I don’t think the rioters that enters the Capital should be pardoned.  I don’t think rioters that harmed LEO’s should be pardoned.
they also shouldn’t have received illegal sentencing enhancements that were smacked down by judicial branch.

You probably haven’t followed me much then because the aftermath of the 2020 election is why I didn’t vote Trump.  His inability to get over the election and his inability to qualm to riot

I appreciate this take and I know other Republicans share it. But I will never understand how a multi-faceted attempt to discredit the entire election process and block certification of a legal election doesn't disqualify a person from ever running for office. Or immediately land them in prison for treason.

What???

Abortion is ONLY an issue because men think they should be involved with it, period.

If you have a dong and you think you have ANYTHING to do with what a woman can do with her body, you must also 100% agree to letting women decide when/if you get snipped and/or can get the blue pill.

Period...end of story.

LOL That opinion is way too rigid, especially considering you're opinion is giving zero credence to the "religious right." You don't have any more proof than I do that its about voters wanting to control females versus religion verses population control verses...

Assuming we're not including rape, your opinion is when a man and woman (do i have to state "biological?") decide to have sex, protected or otherwise, when a fair or likely outcome is procreation, that only the female gets to decide the fate of the zygote/fetus/whatever?

I'm inferring your answer to be "yes," but don't want to put words in your post. ;)

You realize I don't pick the Democratic nominee or the messaging for the party. Also hispanic people still mostly voted based on the perceived economy, but sure because they are Hispanic it's all about immigration for them
https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trumps-return-power-fueled-by-hispanic-working-class-voter-support-2024-11-06/

The starkest increase may have been the 14-percentage-point swing in Trump's share of Hispanic voters, according to an exit poll conducted by Edison Research. Some 46% of self-identified Hispanic voters picked Trump, up from 32% in the 2020 election when Trump lost to Democrat Joe Biden.
Hispanics have largely favored Democrats for decades, but Trump's share this year was the highest for a Republican presidential candidate in exit polls going back to the 1970s, and just higher than the 44% share won by Republican George W. Bush in 2004, according to data compiled by the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank.

Trump has made opposition to immigration a cornerstone of his political career, pledging to conduct mass deportations of people living in the U.S. illegally. Many Hispanic voters supported Trump's hardline positions, according to the Edison Research exit poll. About a quarter of Hispanic respondents said most immigrants in the country without documentation should be deported to the countries they came from, compared with 40% of voters overall in the poll.
You are the only one sarcastically saying it’s all about immigration.  And I really hope you and your side keep that attitude for 4 years.

Unless the mutual goal of sex is to have a child, the woman should 100% be in charge of what happens after the man puts in his 30 seconds of “work”.

No...the (biological) man and (biological) woman should sit down and talk it out.  Maybe the man wants to keep the kid and will raise it on his own if the (biological) woman doesn't want it.  That is awesome.

But the CHOICE of if abortion should be legal or not should 100% be up to women.  Just like a woman should not get to decided if you have to get a vasectomy or not.

Okay porn star...30 seconds???  Must be nice, what do you do, think about Husker Football starting an overtime series???

I appreciate the fair responses. To me the point you're both making is invalidated since we cant 100% prevent a pregnancy, which should be an expected outcome regardless of conversation or contraception. And I agree that ideally, the decision is mutually made prior to the P entering (or getting close) the V, but we know that rarely happens beyond people that are in a monogamous relationship.

This Democrat 'learned' and is no longer afraid to say so. Good for her. Common sense. Didn't the Biden  admin decree that any school receiving federal funds must allow males in women's sports?

Here another one.

https://www.wcvb.com/article/rep-moulton-defends-controversial-comments-about-transgender-athletes/62858174

"Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face," Moulton told the New York Times. "I have two little girls, I don't want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat, I'm supposed to be afraid to say that."
