I think the media has skewed to the left for years. Nothing extreme, but definitely left of center.
They are generally college educated writers who have chosen an interesting but not particularly well-paying career. The profession typically requires getting multiple sides to the story, vetting the information for accuracy, becoming better informed than the average media consumer, and then packaging that story for the average consumer.
It's this dynamic that skews journalism to a more liberal bent, and not surprisingly the facts generally align to their side. If the mainstream media has to make s#!t up, or let blowhards rant in order to seem "fair" it's not doing its job.
Am I suggesting that the left-leaning mainstream media is more accurate than right-leaning sources?
