The Democrat Utopia

I see posters get all bent out of shape here...at other posters and I think, that is crazy.  Then you read that article and you see that an 80 year old man that holds the most powerful position in the world gets bent out of shape over not getting a phone call and you sort of realize that most of us (myself in included) are giant f#&%ing crybabies.

It must be hard being Joe Biden right now, watching the donations and enthusiasm double since Harris replaced him, and Trump's lead virtually disappear overnight. My guess is Joe will be given a prime speaking spot at the DNC, a standing ovation, and repeated accolades about him being one of the most successful Presidents in history. But the sting will never go away.

Apparently Nancy Pelosi was both prepared and cold-blooded in giving Joe the ultimatum. And Joe was no doubt sincere in his assessment that Nancy did it for the sake of the party, not his feelings, as that was her job. I think Barack Obama tended to patronize and even mock Joe as the older, less hip and savvy Democrat, but at the end of the day Biden might have been the better decision maker.

Sure.  But, it has to be even harder being a Republican knowing your party is stuck with a 79 year old felon, rapist, pediphile who has been a complete fraud his entire life.  And...knowing you fell for that complete fraud, hook line and sinker.

And that was likely part of Nancy Pelosi's calculation. Suddenly, only one candidate is too old and too embarrassing, a gaffe machine who will keep giving for the next three months.

There's still some Hunter Biden s#!t going on, but even that feels less relevant when there is nobody named Biden on the ticket.

I’m sure it is, but someone willing to do what he did is someone who can come to terms with it. He wants Trump to lose more than he wants to continue being president, and hopefully he can tell himself it’s only because he’s getting too old.

That’s actually an extremely important distinction which you purposely ignore as you are keen to do.

I’m of the opinion, the mass majority of Republicans are quite fine supporting libraries, public schools, government assistance programs for those in temporary need (and yes I include in this long term need programs for those unable to take care of themselves).

For the record, the Head Republican just went on record saying abolishing the Department of Education is a day one priority, and he plans to turn education over to the states. He also mumbled something about certain states --- Iowa and Idaho -- not doing very well in that arrangement.
