The fate of FF & NH

I like option B, but whatever, doesn’t matter to me, though you know the topic is bound to come up. Maybe post a follow-up in the ultimatum thread that NH was banned because he couldn’t live up the ultimatum and that’s that. <-his absence is bound to be noticed.
So are you talking about a 30 day suspension or a 2026 ban?
It will be 30 days like outlined - but 2026 is forthcoming if decides to throw a tantrum about it.

I would agree with that.

Option B - for three reasons:

1. Let's just see how many people even notice. Option B will test that (since I'm assuming he can't PM members through the board while banned). Let's see if we see a drop (an unexpected drop, that is) in posting or hits.

2. Technically, he has violated the ultimatum - he's essentially tried to debate it and ignore it. However, if we try to follow our procedure, that means we have to post that dirty laundry for all to see - meaning, the PMs back and forth. I see that as doing two things - both negative. First, it may divide the board or even draw sympathy for him. Second, assuming it is a 30-day ban, the first thing he's going to do is to come back and debate it when the ban ends. I favor simply telling the board - if anyone even notices he's gone and asks why - that a series of off-the-board conversations had ensued, and that Nameless indicated throughout them that he felt that he was bigger than the board, and that he declared that he would not follow the rules. Let the explanation go at that unless something causes us to have to reveal more. That way, there is at least a slim possibility that when he comes back he might be a bit more contrite, and less inclined to b!^@h and moan.

3. We might as well find out now what, if anything, he will try to pull if banned - 'cause we're quickly reaching the point where a permanent ban is going to have to happen - we can't let him hold the board hostage. Let's use this 30-day period to test it. Tell him he's banned because he has repeatedly indicated he won't follow the rules and directives of the board.

Just Vincent Vaga his a$$ and bring in the "Wolf" to clean up the mess. Make a statement that there was a misunderstanding over a Foot Massage.

"You're bringing in the Wolf? That's all you had to say."

He is. I was just deliberating about the best way to go about it. Ive decided to keep it b/t him and us, and not comment about it publicly. I'll send him a note telling him he can come back in 30 days or never, but the same probationary period will apply, and with each subsequent violation the 30 day suspension will double.

Heres my email to Idiot..

######,

I just read your response to Rawhide's ultimatum-warning. Not only did you disrespect him & the board with your comments, but you continue to refuse acknowledgement of your "baiting" comments towards FF, which we have been warning you about.

I also received 2 emails from members informing me that you have been contacting them in an attempt to "get them on your side". We will not allow for "alliances" or "coups" to be formed & position themselves against each other. This isnt a reality TV show. Not only is this unacceptable, but this also goes against what you told me in your PM, that these members initiated contact with you. Lying & posturing against the board will not be tolerated.

This isn't an ego thing or issue of our feelings being hurt, this is an issue with you continuing to operate as if you are above the board. And as I've stated, no one member is or will ever be bigger than the board.

So as outlined in your ultimatum, you are being suspended for 30 days. You can come back at that time if you would like, or not, but regardless you will continue to be on a probationary period, so with each future violation your suspension time will double.

This is not open for debate, nor is it open for discussion on the forums publicly or with any members via PM or board email.
