I put Jameis Winston in here, even though it's technically not something he said.
Says you c**t'BilityNo he doesnt.Polar makes me look like a genius in comparison, not easy to do.
Yep, we lost to USC 28-10. I guess holding them to 28 wasn't good enough huh. Umm....holding Texas to 20 would have resulted in a tie bud, we had 20, Texas had 22....damn, if only that Kevin Cosgrove National Championship Caliber defense had been able to hold them to 19.....derp, derp, derp...Oklahoma, he'll of a game. We held em to 21! Wow, too bad we scored 7! Geez you support your arguments don't you, no matter how dumb it sounds. All losses so far. Auburn, yep....we held them to 17......so we only lost that one 17-14.
I almost laughed out loud as I typed Kevin Cosgroves National Championship Caliber Defense. Probably the same NC caliber defense we had in 2011, 2012, and 2013......you know, when the offense scores 41 and the defense allows 38, it doesn't mean we played good defense, it just means we scored more points than them. When the offense can't score, games can become what they call a defensive battle. That's where two tough defenses will limit each others offenses. So is what you are saying is that Bill Callahans and Jay Norvells offenses were the problem?
At this point I don't know what we are talking about anymore. I found it amusing that you chose 4 losses from that season in your argument to display how great a defense we were. That's all. You win. Congrats. Way to go 2006 Huskers Defense on your honorary National Championship Caliber trophy! Presented by Landlord of Questionable Logic.
No.I'm so confused right now... True are you arguing that the defense wasn't any good, or what? This is just a perplexing debate. The Defense appears to be pretty good but the offense seems to be lacking based on the scores.

Z, I really don't think I could be much clearer than I was above. Count and LOMS called the 2006 Nebraska defense "National Championship Caliber". I disagreed. You can go through a lot of teams seasons and pick games they may have played very good defense. As I listed above, look at the scores and the opponents. Make your own judgement. In some games, we played good offense. Some games we played good defense. Neither was consistent throughout the season. National Champions don't lose 5 games in a season. Blame the offense for underperforming, or blame the defense, either way at one point or another in that season, both sides of the ball showed an ability to play at a high level, but mostly against weak teams. To me, that says maybe we weren't quite as good as Count and LOMS think we were. After all, they are the ones that said "National Championship Caliber". So now I'm an idiot because I disagree. Which again, is a flawed argument in itself. So is Landlord? No.I'm so confused right now... True are you arguing that the defense wasn't any good, or what? This is just a perplexing debate. That's what I gathered before, seems reasonable enough. But I would also have to agree with Count, they did improve as the year went on as a championship caliber team ought to do.Z, I really don't think I could be much clearer than I was above. Oh he played the "well everyone else agrees with what I'm saying" card. Yes, because I really give two sh#ts about that.
Here's the quote from your post " to call it championship-caliber defense (defining that as good enough to win championships) is reasonable and accurate.".
^ that's what you said genius. To call it a Championship Caliber defense is accurate is your words, not mine. There goes that part of your little bullsh#t story too now huh.
Gave good evidence? We lost to every ranked team we played you dumbshit, I think I've made that point more than clear. Champions don't do that. There's just as many games to say the offense was "championship caliber" then there are games that show they clearly were not. The same goes for the defense you baffoon. I've also made that point perfectly clear and THAT is a good point. Why? Because its the truth. I like how you left off the 28 points to USC or the "Championship Caliber" defense we played against OKLAHOMA STATE when they scored 41 on us. Oh but wait, that was the offenses fault because Nebraska only scored 29.
This whole thing has blown up on you. You couldn't be more wrong, yet instead of being man enough to admit it, you just keep going. Lying at that. I challenenge you to admit you're wrong. It's crystal clear you are.
By the way.....you never called me an idiot? So......this isn't the outrageously idiotic past the point of comprehension statements thread? Where you dragged a post of mine from another topic and quoted it in here. Mmmmkay?
You've called me a dousche before too kiddo. Remember, you started a huge long rant about how I didn't like Taylor as Nebraskas QB ad you had a sincer crush on him so that kind of made you mad. So since we disagreed on that, I got labeled as a dousche again, and again, and again. Sure there will be more to come.
