I'm so f#&%ing tired of seeing Republicans on social media all coming out with the..."Oh....we shouldn't be criticizing the President in this situation.  He has to be under tremendous pressure.  We should feel sorry for him".

Makes me want to puke.

I know.  But, it sent my blood boiling over the weekend when I just simply glanced at Facebook (I should never do that).

Oh...then, I still have a few people on there who literally say:  "Yeah, I know people are dying and it's serious.  But, I have never fallen for the  hype and fear mongering."  I just want to say..."WTF?"

The funny thing is, the one person who is the worst, ranches in the middle fo the sand hills.  Like..."Of COURSE you don't have to worry about it like others do.  You stupid idiot!!!"

But I was thinking something similar yesterday.  He's said he's not wearing a mask yet he talks to people in the midst of it all.

Gotta be frustrating for him to go out there and walk all over advice medical professionals literally just gave.

 
If Trump was criticized at the level he deserved, there would be about 10 times as many topics in this forum and a lot higher % of the people who post here would be participating in it.

Some people misunderstand bias to mean you have to be equally critical of 2 people in the same position, even if one person f#&%s up far more often than the other.

Masks helps to keep asymptomatic carriers from spreading the disease.  If Trump is getting tested routinely, and all people coming into close contact to him are being tested, there really isn’t a need for him to wear one is there?

Now, it would do a lot of good for him to wear one as a leader to show the nation what responsible behavior looks like.  But that isn’t his MO...

I don't think he should be wearing one when he's in front of cameras, but he shouldn't say anything about it.

 
April 6 update:

An estimated additional 180 - 195 deaths per day occurring at home in New York City due to COVID-19 are not being counted in the official figures. "Early on in this crisis we were able to swab people who died at home, and thus got a coronavirus reading. But those days are long gone. We simply don't have the testing capacity for the large numbers dying at home. Now only those few who had a test confirmation *before* dying are marked as victims of coronavirus on their death certificate. This is a 73 year old man who subsists on a diet of nothing but fast food, avoids any exercise, stares at the sun, denigrates any form of medical and environmental science, goes in raw on porn stars, willingly exposes himself to Covid-19, and thrives on pure malevolence. He is likely not susceptible to any conventional method of death. He is like a mythical creature who can only be destroyed by a magical talisman of some sort.
