WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump on Friday criticized the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for being ill-prepared to test for the coronavirus and he blamed former President Barack Obama for the situation.

"For decades the @CDCgov looked at, and studied, its testing system, but did nothing about it. It would always be inadequate and slow for a large scale pandemic, but a pandemic would never happen, they hoped. President Obama made changes that only complicated things further," he wrote.

n a follow-up tweet, Trump continued his broadside: "Their response to H1N1 Swine flu was a full scale disaster, with thousands dying, and nothing meaningful done to fix the testing problem, until now. The changes have been made and testing will soon happen on a very large scale basis. All Red Tape has been cut, ready to go!"

Sounds like he wants to keep the number of confirmed cases low.

He should be hauled out in cuffs right now.  That would be negligent homicide in my opinion.  If I have a loved one die, you better bet your a$$ I'm suing the govt over this s#!t show!!!

Yep and this is absolutely false. Everyone should be getting tested. Those with the most minor of symptoms need tested the most so those people will quarantine. Those are the people who are most likely to spread the virus, those with little to no symptoms.

Yes you would. I'm worried myself. I am a healthy individual so I likely won't see severe symptoms and I woke up to a runny nose and itchy throat. Problem is it's also allergy season and my employer is unconcerned with COVID. I wish I could just get tested.

Each person at the press conference adjusted the microphone with bare hands, after the guy with repeated exposures to coronavirus spit into it.
