Pretty sure the specific resolution in question doesn't involve anything other than an increase to the check. Its a stand alone resolution. 

 
For weeks, the U.S. had been negotiating with Pfizer to secure additional vaccine doses on top of the original 100 million doses that the U.S. had locked in. Last week, Pfizer said it had struck a deal to supply an additional 100 million doses to the U.S by July.

The Times, citing people familiar with the negotiations, reported that as part of the deal, the U.S. government agreed to invoke the Defense Production Act to "help Pfizer get better access to around nine specialized products it needs to make the vaccine."

Exactly. It's shameful a company has to basically beg trump to invoke the Act six months into the pandemic. 

 


It's a weird article. "The Democrats agree with trump."

Errr..... Pelosi was negotiating with Mnuchin for months over this bill, pushed for $2,000 checks over and over, and Mnuchin wouldn't budge so everyone settled on $600.

Then the bill gets passed and trump does his twitter tantrum demanding $2,000 or he won't sign the bill.  And then he signs it anyway.

That weirdo Chuck said it best, those dorky R's have followed Trump through it all, so why not follow him on this.

There's plenty of stupidity to go around in both parties, which is why there should be way fewer people belonging to them, but it's a lot harder for a smart person to rationalize being a Republican right now.

But.....clearly, if the scientists were putting out such misinformation, non-Trumpers must be so smart they were doing the right stuff early on and trying to convince others.  It’s truly a remarkable thing if you think about it.
