This, this is TDS.  Blindly calling EVERYONE who may vote for Trump racist is not only completely nearsighted, it's makes you a piece of s#!t.  Calling someone a racist in 2020 is a pretty big accusation, and your only grounds of doing so are assumed political leanings.

There is no doubt that Trump is unabashedly racist, and if you want to debate this, there are other threads in P&R but you would be in way over your head.

Why do you get so outraged by someone being called a racist but not outraged by racism itself?

The facts of Turmp's racism are based on his documented words and actions, and certainly not based on anyone's "assumed political leanings." And that means that anyone who supports Trump is either racist themselves, or they are willing to tolerate his brand of racism and divisiveness for whatever reason.

Voting for Trump is not necessarily the same as voting Republican in other years. I know plenty of people who identify as Republican or conservative (and several on this board) who are not racist and are disgusted by Trump's nonsense. So does friend who votes R still support Trump? Why?

This is very similar to the "I have a black friend" argument. Trump is married to an immigrant, but yet he is xenophobic and racist as f#&%. Our biases are more complex than saying that since I married a Latina that I am therefore tolerant of all ethnicities and races. What are your friend's views on Trump's wall? On Muslims? On BLM? On the Proud Boys? On Antifa? On George Floyd? Breonna Taylor? Affirmative Action? Birtherism? Trump's rhetoric? 

Further what are your views about those things?
