Thread of Hate

I hate how Schick and Nick was canceled 10 months ago.

Still have like 5 months of podcasts saved. Probably my most prized possessions. #welaughwhenithappens #cottoncandy

My brother drives a semi, and I call him and complain every time this happens to me. He says that most of them have limiters on how fast they can go (68, 69, 70) in order for the companies to use gas efficiently So often, it is that both of them have their cruise on their max, so you get someone cruising 69 passing someone cruising 70. Its even worse if they hit hills and can't maintain those speeds. That, and the fact that they're being rude a$$holes.
How does the truck cruising 69 pass the one cruising 70?
Around a really tight inside curve.

I hate being a douchebag. Had to apologize to one of our HuskerBoard members for giving him a raft of crap these past few months. I was trying to be funny and just ended up being way too harsh, and it was dumb.

There's legit kidding around, giving someone the business. Then there's going too far, and I did that, and I hate it. Bah.

How short is short term?
Well, I just moved to CO, and my company was putting me up in a hotel until I found a place to buy. I only have till the end of May before I'm out on my own and I haven't found a place to buy yet. I've called every apartment place in town looking for short term rentals and they're all crazy expensive. I could live with my grandma's brother and his wife for a while but I don't really want to put out an octogenerian couple. I also have a high school friend that lives here, but she's married and has a kid with another on the way, so I'm not real comfortable staying there. Just sh**ty timing, which is my M.O.

Tell your new company you're having problems finding a place. And ask them for more time in the hotel. I did that once, and the company I hired on with gave me a couple more weeks.

And that's the thing, it doesn't sound like they want to extend my stay. I put an offer in on a place over the weekend and thought that they might extend my stay given that I'd just be waiting for paper work, but the guy declined my offer because he thinks he has something special (he doesn't).

Idk. I'm going to look at another place here in about an hour, so we'll see. It looks really nice online, so hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

Sometimes you can find a smaller roach motel that gives fairly good rates. Stayed in one 30 minutes north of Dallas for about $50/week. Stayed for 3 weeks incident free.
Ps- this fee didn't include maid service. I believe that was an extra $25 I think. This was about 4 years ago too so. Also I was literally one of 4 people staying at this place. It wasn't dirty, very clean looking, but looked like a hotel straight out of a Tarentino movie.
