Trump Voter Safe Space

Well the first line of the first post admits it's a trap. Subsequent posts suggest I'm trying to have a little fun. "Safe Space" is the kind of touchy feely verbiage conservatives love to mock, so I never expected a robust and confident Trump voter to actually feel "unsafe."

Issue remains: isn't it weird to have zero Trump voters on a Nebraska football Politics & Religion Forum? Shouldn't this be the time to celebrate and flex? I mean, it's not like liberals don't encounter immediate pushback and much, much worse in forums and platforms across the internet. Been there, done that.

I guess I'm limiting it to 2024 voters because that's the election we just had. Like you, there are previous Trump voters who finally reached their limit on the man. But Trump made inroads in almost every demographic last fall, so you'd think his supporters would be more vocal and boisterous.

Right now we're sitting on the presumption that it would take courage to come out as a Trump voter on a Politics & Religion forum, because to do so would invite verbal conflict with anonymous posters.
Just wait until 4 years from now. 90% of the population will say they never voted for Trump in any election. The other 10% will drink the kool aid once hes gone for good so they can go worship him in the afterlife.

Ok how about this?  Instead of courageous Trump voter merely lurking and hiding behind laughy emojis, how about brave Trump voter send me a DM with an itemized list as to why Trump is making America into the utopia of our dreams?  I promise I won't out you if you're too weak kneed to post on an anonymous message board.  Your guy is in power. What could possibly happen if your i.p. address is sold?   It's not like you'll be wrongly sent to an El Salvadorian prison to be tortured.  That's where the libtards are headed.  Or Gitmo.

So if you send me your takes on the new utopia you've found I'll post them for you.  You can even possibly disprove the obviously wrong notion that the average Trump voter has been gaslit into the oblivion of xenophobia, misogyny, and self-centeredness.

I’m bummed the market is down 10%, wish Trump would either do the tariffs or not do the tariffs.   Not a fan of the waffling and uncertainty of it, and wish a they would slow down just a tad on a few things to get them right vs get them going.  beyond that I’m fine.
I think the guy I voted for would have done similar things (maybe not the tariffs) but in a better fashion.

Just to be clear, you wrote in for Ron DeSantis in the general election knowing he would not win, rendering it a protest vote. I'd assume you were sending the GOP a message that you'd like to see the party move away from Trump, but at the end of the day you're fine with the winning candidate and his agenda, with just a few niggles on execution. You're number one concern among the sweeping changes is the effect on the stock market, and you think a stronger commitment or abandonment of tariffs would likely take care of it.

So while you literally did not vote for Trump (though you're always welcome here) do you see any significant gap between yourself and Trump voters?

Ehhhh, but you kinda have been without actually saying it.

Oh I openly doubted you months ago, but you assured me I was wrong. And I got to thinking: why would someone who supports almost everything Trump does lie about voting for Trump?

In that last post I simply meant I didn't doubt your intention to lodge a protest vote, just that it was pretty weak sauce as protest votes go.
