Eichorst had the perfect opportunity after Iowa. No one would have blamed him and the decision could have been justified on grounds other than the lack of on-field results. In fact, the media was taking it as a no-brainer that he was gone and starting to speculate on who the next coach would be. He blew it.

I almost feel like the Nebraska fan base is being punked. Like Ashton Kucher is going to come out any moment and point out all the cameras and Pelini, Eichorst, and Perlman are going to laugh and point to our embarrassed faces and be all, "C'mon! You didn't really think we were going to let something that bad pass for Nebraska football, right? Man, we just kept thinking how ridiculous we could make it and see what you all did. We still can't believe some fans were behind Bo at the end. Y'all are too funny!"

eichorst didnt blow it. The threat from THE THREE largest donors of substance to pull out EVERYTHING blew it. Bo was all but gone. Even bo himself. I for one was glad to see him get ine more shot. A lot of injuries on our veteran offense last year to counter our very young defense. But i dont think anyone will argue that both sides of the ball this year, at the very best, have not improved at all. Hence its time to hit the road jack. I just hope theses guys of supposed importance see it the same way.

I was one who wanted him gone after last year, then I got on board the Bo train this year thinking things looked better, and that Bo was cleaning up his act. After the past two games it's apparent nothing has changed. We are fundamentally unsound with dropped snaps and illegal procedure penalties being 2 examples that point to deficient teaching. The sooner Bo is gone the sooner we can start the next chapter. Yesterday was a revisiting of something I thought we would never see again, but it was worse. To make matters even worse we knew the opponent, we had an extra week to prepare, we had the personnel to contain Gordon and he gashes us for the best single game performance in history and did it playing only three quarters of the game. Now, can anyone in his right mind suggest this is a well coached team. Can anyone point to anything that might give a sliver of hope that things will get better under Bo.

Sorry for the rant. I guess I'm just being one of those f**king fair weather fans, but you know the weather doesn't stay fair for long when Bo's at the helm. As long as he's here we will be hit by one or two EF5s a year, and they are devastating. If we are not going to rebuild, then let's just walk away. MONEY TALKS and it doesn't have to be just the big donors money that calls the shots. In the aggregate we are bigger than they.

My main grievance with Bo is sticking with assistants who should be gone.

1. Cotton - terrible OC, Terrible Line coach & now our TE have disappeared (receiving & blocking)

2. Beck - no offensive identity and can not call plays worth a crap. is in love with the long ball.

3. Papuch - His players yell at him during games, no respect & can not make an adjustment.

Folks--calm down. Eichorst isn't going to do anything this season, but this may not be a bad thing: don't forget there are big schools like Florida and Michigan who have vacancies, and they likely won't be the only ones.

Considering how some schools still think Pelini hung the moon and stars, Eichorst may not have to do anything if someone motions toward Bo--Eichorst could just let Bo go, which would be a win/win for everyone that believes Bo should go. For example, LSU still likes Bo, and if Les Miles goes (assuming Michigan doesn't get a Harbaugh...), they may come a callin'.

And as much s**t as the press gave DONU for firing a 9 win coach before, imagine the s**tstorm in a pro-SEC, anti-B1G college football environment whose narrative is dictated by ESPN. DONU would be ripped apart, and good luck recruiting under that cloud.

In this instance, not doing anything would be the best course of action.

We won't receive much heat for firing Bo, and really we could do it right now. We have seen 7 years worth of work, and Saturday's game is the last evaluation necessary.

We took more heat for Frank bc he was in the NC game 2 years prior. And he won a conference championship.
