To be fair, our horrendous teams for 10 years now have done far more damage in the “who is your favorite husker” category than NIL and the portal

it’s also worth mentioning that them entering the portal doesn’t mean they’re officially gone. In EJs case, it could be a leverage/money play.  If he does leave, o well, he had a nice 3 game streak and yet wasn’t a game changer. More concerned about some of the defensive guys not returning than a back who isn’t even a 3 down back

I thought that was a given. Isn’t signing day now call financial obligation day?  Maybe I dreamt that, but I researched it pretty heavy in October and that’s I found.  It’s a replacement for. NLI

Could mean he's unhappy with relationships here, and that's what is important to him. Could also just be he is leaving to make more money, but is going to prioritize the relationships assuming the offers aren't insanely different.

EMoney is a rap name, not a declaration of life priorities. I could also see the relationship piece being Barthel leaving, or honestly Barthel staying and maybe EJ was hoping he would leave. Whatever his ceiling is, it's two years in a row with Barthel where EJ was clearly our best back and couldn't get significant playing time until his hand was forced.

I think 247 has him highly ranked bc wasn't he named to a freshman all-american team?  If not then I guess they are going off of his potential.  It sucks to lose players that are highly thought of but Nebraska has a lot of work ahead of themselves to be a successful team next year.  Just got to put there heads down and keep on keeping on.  

 
So EJ hit the transfer portal bc he felt disrespected by Satterfield per Adam Carriker.  It's not about the money according to Adam Carriker's source.  Also 20 programs have already reached out to his agent and Dana has reached out to him as well.  We have a slight chance but very slim chance he returns.

We all feel personally disrespected by Marcus Satterfield at this point.
