Will HC Scott Frost make it through his full contract without getting fired?

OP is silly BUT.....

I've been wondering when golden boy status was going to wear off. Looks like it was yesterday.

Frost was out coached yesterday. Badly in the 2nd half.

We keep getting strength and conditioning kool-aid and we aren't very tough...and we ran out of gas yesterday as well.

Our 2nd year QB has also taken a big step back through 2 games.

W-L Record after first 14 games as Neb HC:

Devaney   12-2

Osborne   10-3-1

Solich       10-4

Callahan    8-6

Pelini         10-4

Riley            7-7

Frost           5-9

Did y'all see the Michigan/Army game yesterday?  Yes, Army's offense is one-dimensional; but damn fun to watch for this pigskin purist.  To begin building a Legacy of Winning, Frost should bring back a run-first/run-often/power-I/wishbone offense to NU -- wouldn't be as vanilla as Army as we have strong players to both throw and catch the ball.  This current NU offense SUCKS -- and so does the defense.  We won't win more than 6 games this season, and will be lucky to win 8 or 9 in a "great" season in this gauntlet known as the Big Ten Schedule.  Frost has a chance to save his job and build a winning legacy, but to do so he needs to scrap this junk UCF system.  Frankly, I don't think he's humble enough to even consider doing this which is a tremendous shame.  We probably have 6 more years of pain before landing the next "great" NU HC.  Ugh.
Let's not get crazy here.  I'm disappointed as the next guy but it is a little early for that talk, unless you were not serious.  It is really hard on a message board to tell what is real.

Frost 5 - 9, dude.  Kind of stands out.  Makes me feel bad to see it, but it has to be said if it's what's going on.

I want to run undefeated for the rest of the season.  So do you.   So let's say that, too so we can feel better.  Meanwhile, Frost 5 - 9 after his first 14 games.

14 games is a ridiculously small sample and he took over the program at a worse point than any. Just absurd that this is being talked about.

His assistant coaches are who I'm the most curious about. If this team can't turn a corner does he take the pelini route and stick with all his friends no matter the results or does he do what dabo did after west Virginia hung 70 on him in a bowl game and get a proven huy like steele. I have major doubt about chin and walters.

If it takes Scott Frost all seven years to make NU competitive, then so be it. Frost completely understands the uniqueness of our state and the challenges with recruiting. He deserves at a minimum four full recruiting classes to see what he can do. In my opinion Frost is really our last hope for NU Football. He certainly knows what championship football looks like. Let’s give this guy the time he requires.

It's not absurd, given the embedded elephant in the room on the subject:    What happened after those first 14 games and beyond?  With those first two coaches on the list it was the beginning of the Husker legacy as we know it (and have expected it to continue).  With the others it was being fired in the not-too-distant future.  With Frost?   <--- Thus the subject matter.   And again, it's not absurd one bit, that subject matter.

Its not apples to apples and if you can't see that this discussion need go no further.

Tell that to the OP who began and titled the topic.   If you want to tell me something, tell me about why Scott Frost cannot win games as Husker HC.  That's what's up here.   We have hope.  But we shouldn't have hope;  we should have confidence based on improvement and more Ws than Ls.  Especially on the road.  Talk about it.  What's wrong?   Why are we doing with him what we did with Riley?   Lousy Riley players with bad habits?  But we have a new big shot HC.   What's wrong?   The papers this morning say it's "missed tackles" and "O-line problems."

Okay.  20 years of "missed tackles" and "O-line proplems."

Again:  What's wrong?

Patience would serve you well. Frost can't win games? We are 14 games into this thing and he got handed the worst Husker program since before Devaney. I'm tired of you fair weather a$$ hats that want to crawl out after the first loss and will no longer be engaging with yall. I doubt you'll still be here by seasons end when we are looking like a borderline great team, just like last year. You can be mad and want to fire Frost all you'd like, but it ain't happenin and real Husker fans are riding with him for at least 2 more seasons. I can't believe how quickly people want to turn after all of the 'we need to give him time' when Frost was hired. Its bonkers

Obvious troll thread he isn't going anywhere.  I do think he is going to have to adjust his scheme.  You are never going to have much success if the oline cant line up and run block when called for, you know, like the 3rd qtr yesterday.  A big reason pelini failed is that he refused to adapt his defensive scheme.  Scott is going to have the same problem on offense.  He is probably going to need to hire another d coordinator in the next few years too.

You say "troll!", yet you feed em' with a beefy paragraph?
