WOW THIS IS BIG

Did anyone that went to the game on saturday see how it looked like callahan didnt even give two craps during the tunnel walk?? Not saying he ever really does but this tunnel walk he looked even more like he didnt care about the game or anything.. I think he has given up on his job... I hope all this is true an get his a$$ out of here an bring in someone that will give us a chance to win the rest of the games...

Dopes anyone honestly believe that Osborne does not know what is happening, or that he has some input in it? He has known all of these people for years, both through coaching and through politics. While he may not be at these meetings physically, you know that he is in some way involved. He's too shrewd not to be.

:clap :thumbs

If true, this is going to be a very ugly situation very soon.

Yep. I used to think it was better to fire BC at the end of the year, but it might have to happen ASAP, just for the sake of the program.

I agree. If TO pulls the trigger sooner rather than later, very few are going to remember when it's all said and done that he said he'd wait until after the season. :)
I don't think T.O. cares what others thinks but rather what he thinks is right.

Agree! Getting a new coach in place asap might allow us to save some of our current recruits and even get new ones!
Well there wouldn't be a new coach in place that is permanent until after the colorado game at the earliest so if you think they would hire someone during the season or the candidates season then you are mistaking. It would add distraction to the candidates team that he would not want.

Although it's unlikely, it could happen! Even though the permanent new coach (assuming it's not a member of the current staff) wouldn't take over until after the CU game, he could still be named which would allow recruits to make a decision on him!

Why do I hope some of this isn't true? Because I don't want to be Alabama.

An AD run by boosters. I can't believe TO would allow that garbage to occur.
me thinks you have lived a sheltered life too long. money talks, bullsh#t walks, always has. the big money boosters have been stunned and are fed up with this charade. must remove the cancer now, no disgrace, just seeking immediate closure. pederson, then cally, natural progression, ASAP is better for all and Oz is not going public against it either. pretty chicken sh#t of cally not to resign as well, but what else would you expect from this prick?

Solly is a credible source, and was the first to break the news about the Steve Pederson firing early Sunday evening before it happened.
This is EXACTLY what I have been alluding to, but most on this board seem to be fine with it.

Welcome to Alabama. Nebraska has become the Crimson Tide, and this implosion will be the talk of the nation for years to come. It's bad, it's real bad.

I thought you weren't posting anymore....

Kind of like the emo kid who doesn't get any attention for dressing different, they always come crawling back.

don't make too much of this. it is the first time something like this has happened at NU. it will quickly be forgotten. drastic measure for a drastic situation. ped is the one to blame, you have to wonder who gave this a-hole the keys to the stadium.

I suppose the real question should be--since when has NU been in the business of selling keys?

That.

Was.

Awesome.

Here is something that I am wondering:

If Bill Callahan is asking for more than the buyout amount of his contract for his resignation . . .

Why don't "they" just fire him? Or, is Osborne merely a figurehead? Is he running the show, or isn't he?

This is sordidly fascinating.

Probably because he wants to give BC the rest of the season before firing him, and hte $ guys want to salvage something out of hte season with BC resigning.
