WR Monte Harrison

Something to keep in mind, even if baseball is his #1, playing for Erstad for awhile could very well push him into the top of the 1st round, and several times the money. Take $1.1m now? Or maybe 5+ in 3 years. The kid has options, that's for sure.
Or he goes in the top 10 in the nfl draft where he would get triple the money of a good mlb contract in 3 years. Let's not forget about that option. Also, how much of a strain would it be for Monte to also play basketball for us. I think we are looking to replace Paul Meyers too, he could take care of that too!

Can he play for both pelini and erstad in one season?

Yes, there have been several players who have done it in the past. The coaches just have to agree to it. Hell, Jameis Winston does it.

So basically, we have a Jameis Winston now.

In 50 minor league games, former #Huskers recruit Monte Harrison was 32-34 stealing bases. He’s got speed for days.
this is such a tease.

Harrison batted .261, drew 31 walks and stole 32 bases in 50 games at the rookie ball level last year. He started slowly this season in Class A — he did have a two-homer night on April 22, but has been slumping since.

Harrison tweeted Thursday that his grandmother had passed away. Moments later, he stepped into the batting cage and attempted to focus on the intricacies of his swing. He’d be placed on the temporary inactive list Friday.

You can bet that whenever he rejoins the team, though, he’ll bring the same optimistic attitude that’s stabilized him through 2015.

“You just have to try not to do too much,” Harrison said. “When people force, that’s when they get off track. At the beginning of the year, I feel like that kind of happened. Now I’m starting to get back on cue.”

Starling and Harrison are like scabs for the Husker fanbase (or at least those on Huskerboard) who can help but pick them and prevent the healing to truly take place.
