Sorry. I should have put the sarcasm thing up for the slower members on here.No. No it's notBeing a fan is like being in a cult.. we all show up to the same place where the same clothes... like being in a cult or a gang.
I can't think of a more tired argument then "I'm a better fan than you" because you can actually delude yourself into thinking change is imminent when none of the inputs are different.I lost all respect I had for either of you after that ridiculous tantrum last night. That was inexcusable from grown adults. Both of you have latched on to an offhand comment that had nothing to do with the topic of a thread, you forced the Mods to do extra, unnecessary work, you persist in your delusions and you chewed out other Mods for doing their jobs.
Someone turned off the television and followed the rest of the game on Twitter. Your reaction to that was completely uncalled-for.
The irony of course is that I'm an alum and a member of two fan/alum groups. Some just expect better.I could care less if a fan wants to leave the game early or turn the channel because they are done with it. Last night, who could blame them? I chose not to turn the TV off. I did stand outside on the final drive because, well it worked against Ohio State in 2011, thought maybe I could conjure up some karma magic by sitting outside on a cooler. Did not pan out.
The fans that left early in 2010 when Texas embarrassed us weren't in the wrong. It was a poor showing by the team and frustrating for attendants. I was among them. We missed a TD but inevitably the game was still a loss. Fans that left early in 2013 during the NW game missed a miraculous hail mary win. Must hurt to know they could have stayed for the celebration.
Bottom Line: Leaving early or turning the channel doesn't make anybody less of a fan. It just means their tolerance for disappointment differs from those who choose to endure painful games til the end be it in person or on TV/Radio. It's okay either way really. Doesn't effect the outcome of the game one way or another. But honestly if your going to be done with the game the last thing you should want to do is go on the message board and tell everyone how your done knowing full well it's going to start a big "I'm a better fan" debate. We are all fans, except Polo who hates everything good and only listens to Creed.
What flavor of wings and from where?So........I turned off the dvr at halftime and erased the first half recording. Then I called in an order of wings and went to pick them up during the third quarter. Oh, I better also mention that I missed about the first eight plays of the game because I was picking up my daughter from her school sporting event. Anyhoo, after getting the wings, I returned home and watched the remainder of the game. Worst. Fan. Ever. So knapp can suck it, following on Twitter, pfttt. What I did qould send minny and Q over the top.
Mango Habanero from Dominos. Woulda went for better wings but they're quick and the mango hab is pretty darned good there. The actual wings themselves sometimes aren't the best though. What flavor of wings and from where?So........I turned off the dvr at halftime and erased the first half recording.
