Renters are fine generally. But I happen to be renting to family. They basically treat it like its an extended stay at my house. I offered them use of my rental, while they finish school. They have a 2 year old daughter. So I would never kick em to the curd cause she's adorable. Their dog sh#ts everywhere. And they can't seem to get the garbage to the curb. Both have jobs but they've had their water and gas shut off numerous times. The positive is that my cousins boyfriend is very good at manual labor. Carpentry, plumbing, roofing, etc. So far the home improvements he's done for me has cancelled out the getting no rent portion of our agreement. All I make them pay me is enough to pay insurance an PP taxes. Equates to less than $150 a month. My point is, being a landlord can be a wonderful deal with cooperation of 2 things. Responsible, clean tenants. And a rental property that isn't always finding new ways for you to spend your money. Good luckAnyone else rent out property? What is like being a landlord?
