This isn't the first time we've heard about something like this from a political figure. It's a perfect example of why we ask them to divest or set up some kind of independently managed fund (which it kind of sounds like this is). The bigger issue is that Trump/Cohen have taken money from the company in the past.

If you're not paying attention, Trump has no fired two Inspectors General in a week and is lobbing criticisms at another one on Twitter over a report highlighting his incompetence he doesn't like.
He's trying to destroy any legitimate oversight constraining his actions. I wonder why?

That is a good timeline read. I would hold Modly's descriptions of everything Crozier said in suspect.
Crozier's firing fits the pattern we've seen from the Trump administration - whistleblowers need to be punished, publicly and as severely as possible.
