Yup. Time for Erstad to earn his keep--we have the best class in the B1G, now it's time to show it on the field and help them improve.

He was great as himself on Norm Macdonald Live.  One of my top 10 talk show episodes of all time for sure.

So, any chance we can find a job for David Beaty on our staff? The guy would be a big boon for our recruiting efforts, and we could always put him in charge of special teams...

You sure Frost isn’t coaching him to fall over and kick it out of bounds or backwards?

@Melby Who is going to coach OLBs, then?

    VectorVictor

@ScottyIce we could always use him as an analyst. Just sayin’, this guy is someone the big programs are going to (supposedly) make room for because of his recruiting. So why not us if we’re looking to improve it in Texas?

Is "full-sized candy bars" an euphemism for something else caused by your wife's costume?

    More like a Tootsie Roll.

    Hahaha hahaha!

I just rolled the dice by getting tickets to the Purdue game...plus it will be my youngest kiddo’s first game.

In my head I f****d up, but in my heart, if her first game is ScoFro’s first win...

Dammit, Purdue wasn't always a bottom dweller.  In fact they were ranked several years during our BC days while we were the fools. I don't know why they get a bad rep, but anyway.....have fun and enjoy!!! GBR

You'll have fun regardless obviously, my wife and I got some tickets and are headed over to Lincoln this afternoon for a few days away from our little terrors. I'm hoping to be there for Frost's first win as head coach as well! :thumbs

@TAKODA thanks. We may try to do the S&C and Memorial Stadium tours Sunday if they’re open. Otherwise we’ll come back during the summer.

Is Row 3, Section 26 behind the Purdue sideline high enough for an unobstructed view? Getting tickets for my family, want to make sure they're just not staring at Purdue a$$ all game.

My guess is row 3 on either side will be pretty obstructed by the players and people on the sidelines. But I will say you also don’t want to be on the sides, in the first level, further back than row 40. Those are under the overhang of the 2nd level and it’s sort of like looking out of a tunnel and you don’t get the feel of actually being in the stadium when you can’t see 90% of the crowd or the sky. Plus there are the columns to deal with. We were in section 1, row 44 and they weren’t great. I suppose they’d be okay in a downpour....

I was in row B once. Had to look between people's heads but it wasn't terrible, and row 3 would be better. I dunno how short your kids are, though.

@Moiraine we’re talking a five year old...so short. I’m thinking this seating would be good if they’re a bit older...but for now, probably not.

I want to apologize to the board for forgetting Crick's name and switching him and Suh's number up. I plead for leniency from the mods to let my ban start after the game.

Avengers: Infinity War is going to be this generation's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

There is suspense and the unknown ending becomes known to all that paid to see it. To avoid being dissapointed, STOP reading this status update Red Denver!

Ha, you just couldn’t help yourself, could you?  :P

I don't know what's more shocking: that Urban didn't learn a damn thing from his stint at Florida, or that Brett McMurphy still doesn't have a job yet.

Thanks guys. I figured that was it. Another reason folks have stopped watching ESPN so much is because other Networks like CBS and FOX are cutting into their pie.

    VectorVictor
    VectorVictor
@Toe LOL...you're right. Good catch...though in all honesty, I should probably subscribe to both. :D

@ladyhawke Don't forget shops like BTN (which is majority owned by Fox). After the current deal is done, I wouldn't be shocked if we have another expansion and then more of the Top Tier games are saved for BTN exclusively (instead of ABC/ESPN or FOX OTA/Sports)--remember, the conference gets more ad revenue from the games that air on their channel compared to Disney/FOX.

Vector/Victor I predict that in the very near future sports will be ala carte and folks will be able to order whatever they want to watch wherever they are. That will be great for Husker fans who don’t live in the state!

Disney and Fox have an agreed-upon deal, folks. Let's welcome the Fantastic Four and X-Men (and more importantly, their associated villains) to the Marvel Cinematic Universe...

Fox only owned distribution for Episode IV: A New Hope in perpetuity--everything else Lucasfilm (nee Disney) owns lock, stock, and barrel. And Disney wouldn't go to all the trouble to have Fox take money off the top...just like Disney won't ever release a standalone Incredible Hulk movie because Universal owns distribution rights to that and any standalone films (also why Namor was a no-show in the MCU as well).

But yes, this was a fly in the ointment that was keeping Disney from releasing HD versions of the original, unaltered trilogy. This...and  Lucas saying there was no copy of the original Episode IV left in existence...(though one was stitched together by fans in Europe last year, IIRC). Disney doesn't like to share profits on distribution.

This is great. The only X-Men character that I would have liked to see in the MCU is Wolverine, and when it does happen it won't be Hugh Jackman - Would like to see Deadpool in action in the MCU as well.

Imagine this happening a few years ago.  Thanos then could have been in a fight with Hulk, Thing and Collosus at the same time.  How fun would that have been?
