We got some pretty good Red Shirts too.

I believe I heard players speaking in 3 tiers - Blackshirts starters, Redshirts backups/rotation guys, and whiteshirts third team/freshmen/scout players

 
I was thinking the same thing with Wright.  I wasn't sure how it was going to go because it seemed one of the knocks on him was that he wasn't very physical at USC.  I think he has been doing a pretty decent job.  Buford hasn't been bad but he reminds me of the guys we had years ago who always seemed to be in good coverage but could never make a play on the ball.  

 
This defense is pretty good, man.  I'm with yall about a few games or a few quarters where the tackling was bad, and some of the coverage in short yardage passing was bad.  But overall, I really like this defensive group and the depth.  

The responded to Purdue after the iLLinois game, which is a good sign of maturity and focus.  

I think that, as long as the offense can put up points, the defense will get better and better, in comparison to the previous seasons of always having to play perfect to keep it close.  

But also, the defense cannot give up long drives that keeps our offense off the field.  That will also be key going forward.
