Yeah, both from me though. Just needs to watch it a little. He's a new poster so I'm all for an acclimation period to this board -- this isn't ShaggyBevo or SECrant -- he'll tone it down or he won't.

 
Was bordering on his fourth Warning this month but zoogs and I decided it didn't quite rise to that level.

Sent the following PM regarding a couple of his reply to @eightlaces

I'm not the biggest fan of that guy either but you really need to take it easy when responding to him. You can disagree without calling him "clueless" or other such terms.

You have some good things to say but you've already racked up three warning points in the last month and were bordering on a fourth. That's not a good pattern.

Make your point without belittling other posters. Thanks.

He needs to learn that you can disagree without becoming hostile about it. He seems to take it as a personal affront when anyone expresses an opinion contrary to his own.

Hope he figures it out. We've been losing a lot of good members lately. Also some that weren't so good.

I'm getting tired of this guy's negative shtick. I don't think cm husker has ever made a post with a positive thing to say about any aspect of Nebraska football. That includes the coaches, the players, the admin, the offense, the defense, the fans, the weather, or any other aspect of Nebraska football. Well, except for anything relating to Husker football that happened during our great run in the mid '90s. I think he actually gets a chub relishing about Tom Osborne and the glory days. (Well, okay, so do I. But that's not *all* there is to NU football. lol) But anything else having to do with Nebraska football is crap. According to him.

I haven't spent a lot of time in the Football Forum in the last 7-10 days but judging from the Woodshed, he's not really liked ... by anyone.

Not sure what the solution is but I do think an argument can be made for a cease and desist on on Riley's career record, .500 coach, terrible hire, etc. That ground has been covered and recovered so much it's worn holes in the rug. It's not saying people can't be negative but just don't have to keep bringing up the same things over and over.

Not sure if this is all cm is doing but I'm guessing it's a lot of it.

IMO, ban both these clowns and the angst level goes way down. They seem responsible for a good amount of the thread derailments.

Ha ha! I've come around to accepting these two asshats, even though they're both annoying. And as long as they don't break the rules. They seem to be staying mostly within the Tangent thread, lately, and not polluting every thread on the board. (btw, The Tangent thread was a GREAT idea.)

I feel RADAR & GBRedneck could use some offseason long suspensions. As in, give them both the bowl game to talk Huskers, and the first time this continues in the offseason after that, nix it until after the first game of the next season.

Nebraska Harry is fast going down that path (at least in this particular thread) but I don't think he has much recent warn history.

If the guy discussed things in the football forum like he does in the political forum, he probably wouldn't be on so many peoples sh#t list. Crazy how that works...

 
cm seems like a person who is very, very passionate about football or the athletic program in general to the point where they tend to go overboard in their posts. Any other area isn't as "high stakes" and so they're completely acceptable posters.

 
I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how much common ground I seem to be finding with him in the political forum. And you're right, I think it is a matter of stakes when it comes to disagreement.
