very long form video from a non recognized source but I think gives some unique historical perspective and actual contains some historical facts that may be interesting.

OK so that is what you think now but that doesn't really answer my question. Hypothetically he is a nazi. At what point would you say OK he is a nazi?

As for the alternative to said question, I would believe Elon isn't a nazi if he quit messing around in world politics and kept to his business ventures and perhaps apologize for previous inflammatory actions and statements avoiding controversial statements and viewpoints in the future. Now I couldn't guarantee he wasn't a nazi in this case, but I would err on the side of not a nazi. 

 
Sounds like the qualifications now are…..Stay in your lane, you aren’t a Nazi…….get involved in politics when you while having business ventures means you are a Nazi.

At this point for Elon Musk yes. He did multiple nazi salutes, he amplifies nazi messaging and hitler apologists on the digital media site he owns. He isn't just in American politics he is all over the world with it. Nazi stuff aside which is extremely alarming in and of itself, the richest man in the world has his hands in the highest levels of US government. That is a thought that made conservatives lose it when the billionaire and president are left leaning. The amount of George soros conspiracies are dizzying yet with Elon it's cool bro!

Obviously...they are not on the same plane but some of these insane masking mandates and shutting down/ticketing people on the beach, skate parks, etc. The reality is a vast majority of people would follow these orders to avoid repercussions even though they were moronic.

There's really only one way to read Elon's post. He is in the process of firing legions of public sector workers while people are comparing him to Hitler. So he accuses German public sector works of being the murderers, not Hitler. It's both stupid and despicable. 

If you insist on taking his analogy literally in order to absolve Elon Musk, he would be suggesting that today's public sector workers should reject the immoral orders from above, which might include refusing to let DOGE bros have unsupervised access to vital records and finances. 

If you want to reach back to "insane" mask mandates, I don't recall them being particularly well enforced and indeed many chose not to follow them. Most cases involved private sector workers and private sector policies --- minimum wage kids at Target asking unmasked customers to please follow store policy, at which point they would be loudly berated and captured in a viral video.

Many people refused to wear masks and faced no legal consequence. Every locale was different. Many people figured it was a pretty minor inconvenience, given a global pandemic that went on to kill 1 million Americans. 

You gotta admit, it's a bit of a leap from a minor inconvenience designed to save lives to burning millions of people to death in ovens.

A good example of how nazism and nazi symbols are creeping into our sphere from the highest levels of government. This video does a good job recognizing Trump likely didn't intentionally post this symbol, but rather reposted an article singing his praises. But even so the fact someone can write an article praising Trump and attach a hateful symbol to it and Trump will gleefully repost is a major issue.

 
At this point I don't much give a s#!t about "did he or didn't he" Nazi symbolism. I don't think ethnic cleansing is on these guys' radar at all. It's mostly about installing a kleptocracy where a handful of people can steal from the deep coffers of America. They will leverage the more devout white nationalists as needed, but it's more about grift and vengeance than ideology. 

Fun fact: Steve Bannon and Elon Musk hate each other.

Honestly I think this is the wrong attitude to have about the open embrace of nazism by the executive branch. Nazis were nazis before the genocide and actively singled out and was hateful towards marginalized groups of people. This administration emboldens this behavior among people with these beliefs, maybe even those who would have never openly expressed said beliefs otherwise. This makes everyday life harder on the marginalized groups. It's a big problem not something that is just oh whatever they don't want to genocide people they just want to dupe them and take their money. They hateful effects remain either way. And honestly with the messaging the administration has towards immigrants it's not really a leap to them just saying they should die. Jmho. 

I did say recently our only hope now is the nazis hated each other enough to not get anything of note done. In both of their defense the number of people who don't hate Elon Musk or Steve Bannon is astonishingly small.
