Griddle Me This

I e thought about making that.

You should. It's super easy in a blender or food processor.

We first tried this in California and had no idea what it was called, so we called it "olive mash" for years. My wife did not like olives, but she ate that on bread or crackers when we had charcuterie for dinner.

I have yet to create the perfect dipping sauce for it but overall it is pretty solid.

Do you like ranch? This will change your life.

NOTE - This is the full recipe, but I only use about 1/4 cup or less of buttermilk. A full cup makes this really runny. You can get every ingredient for this (minus the MSG) from Trader Joe's.

Ranch Dressing

1 cup mayo

1 cup sour cream

1 cup buttermilk

2 tbsp fresh dill, parsley, and chives, finely chopped

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp MSG (optional)

1/2 tsp black pepper

2-4 tsp lemon juice

Combine mayo, sour cream, and buttermilk in a bowl until smooth. Mix in the fresh herbs and seasonings. Adjust the consistency with additional buttermilk if needed and brighten the flavor with lemon juice. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

I will try this for sure!  Thanks!

We use powdered buttermilk since it lasts longer. Same recipe just replace the liquid buttermilk with a couple tablespoons of powdered buttermilk. It's quite thick.

Stupid propane tank is empty.  So annoying.

I am going to griddle up some sourdough patty melts soon.
Pro tip. Buy an extra tank and soon as you change one out, fill the empty.

Invariably the grill or griddle tank will run out at the beginning or in the middle of a cook. It’s not so bad if you have one ready to go.

I used to keep 3 on hand; one on the grill, one on the fire pit, and the backup

Okay, the Blackstone is getting a little bit annoying to clean, not horrible but annoying enough that a Weber Slate might be in my future.

Also, two and three propane tanks???  Who are you guys, the prince of Qatar
