knapplc

@Scarlet is PM'ing me about the content he reported from @knapplc. I think he singled me out because I sent him a PM a few weeks back telling him to knock off certain behavior and I think he's a bit salty about it.

Any feedback on the report? @Mavric @BIGREDIOWAN @Thanks_Tom RR @Saunders @jsneb83

Long story short he thinks this "..!." is a text emoji to flip someone off. It's close to something I found online "..!.." but IDK what to make of it or if that's what knapplc is trying to do or not.

Sorry, I've been really busy the last several days and haven't had time to really look into it.

Scarlet sent me a PM as well that started out something like "So chief" so that didn't really get him off on the right foot with me.  And I did see what you posted in the report about the use of those characters.

So I would guess that it probably deserves something.  But I haven't looked into the context to see if there was anything leading up to it.  Based on the tone of his PMs, it wouldn't surprise me if he was being a jerk before that.  And I don't like his tone of trying to force us to do something.

He did the exact same 'chief' thing to me, too, which also irked me.

Did a little digging. Scarlet definitely isn't innocent. In the same thread before his and knapplc's little spat, he posted this:





knapplc then called him out on it said 'there was a forum for this.'

Four hours later, when knapplc responds with a politically charged post, Scarlet told him to 'keep the political bs out of the football forum.' That's when knapplc dropped the little '..!.' So Scarlet is being a hypocrite and fueling the fire.

I don't think that justifies knapplc using a middle finger emoji, though, if that is in fact what that symbol is meant to be.

So perhaps a PM to both telling them to knock it off and move the posts to the Shed?

Although the middle finger emoji might be worthy of a warning.

Yeah, I thing thats fine. And tell Knapp that we know what he was doing, and he doesn't get to tell other people to follow the rules when he isn't doing it himself.

 
Sending a response to both right now. Mainly told Scarlet they were both in the wrong and that it's up to use to decide what kind of punishment people face.

Told knapplc they were both in the wrong with the political talk and said if we see that again then we will assume he's flipping people off.

 
So I finally got to see a bit more of it when looking at the posts moved to the Shed.

I'm not dreaming this up right ... knapp is always one of the first to complain when someone else posts something political outside P&R, right?  And then he does that???

Of course.

And as we've also documented, it's OK for him to repeatedly call Trump and his administration a bunch of buffoons, but if anybody accuses something he agrees with as being buffoonery over, and over, and over again, then they're trolls.

I've always liked knapplc and gotten along with him, but IMO this is a clear flaunting of the rules while trying to hide behind his status and image on the board. Scarlet is a far less active and 'in the know' user. knapplc baited him into that fight and then proceeded to flip him off. They were both being inappropriate but knapplc stoked that fire more IMO.

knapp has been doing this stuff for years now and intentionally skirts the rules and then throws his hands up like "who.....MEEEEE?!" His games get old that's for sure. 

 
Demanding to know who did what and why they didn't do it how he wanted it done (again).

I don't really feel that compelled to is demands (in the 'Shed).  But it was me who moved some political posts from the Will there Be Football thread to the Tangent thread.  I'm sure there are dozens more that could be moved.  I went back three pages and grabbed all of them that I thought strayed too far.  I didn't feel like going back farther than that.

 
I feel like we've made our stance on the topic fairly clear up to this point. Crossover in that thread is inevitable and we're moving things we feel necessary to move. We're not going to catch everything nor police every little response in that thread.

IMO this is a string knapplc plucks all the time. If something isn't done to his standards then he makes a mountain of a mole hill in his attempts to prove whatever point he's trying to make.

Also, a lot of this comes down to his tone. If he can't make requests of us without acting like a sulky teenager then I'm not interested in listening to him.
