New DC

To me, it often seems when an unusual result occurs, we later find out a coach had been interviewing around the time of the outlier performance.  Kind of similar to players being off due to too much attention being on off-the-field stuff. 

 
Obviously you guys just comment and don’t watch the game. SMU defense was fine most of the game as the offense cost them this game in the first quarter. It could have been a whole lot worse. 
Eh. I saw SMU give up a ton of big plays. I’d also argue that Clemson’s stout defense created two turnovers, SMU didn’t just give it away. Maybe the interception should have been thrown away. If anything, SMU’s offense kept them in it, scoring more points on Clemson‘s first string than any team did this year. 
 

Sure, SMU’s defense was “fine”. I guess that’s the standard we’re trying to achieve now.

I actually agree.  I just like to dig.  They played reasonable.  It’s Clemson.
