It’s about that time again.

Had my Fantasy draft tonight. 10 team league with my son, some of his in-laws and some of their friends. Random draft order….I got 10th and my son got 9th  :facepalm:   But I did okay considering. Pretty strong at LW (Kaprizov and Forsberg) a couple D (Josi) spots and Goalie (Bob, UPL & Talbot). Would’ve liked to do better at center and RW. Of course I have to face Mr #1 McDavid pick first week.  Only Avs player I got was Landeskog and immediately put him on IR so I could pick up another.

 
It should be fun season. I have high hopes for my Sens this year. I think Ullmark will make a big difference. Of course we don’t have any depth really so staying healthy is our only chance of playoffs. 
 

As far as your Avs are concerned @JJ Husker, I’m sure that Parker Kelly will be a fan favorite for his hustle and work ethic. Brannstrom will be an easy target for fans if things go poorly.

Well Brannstrom won’t be a problem. Can’t remember if Avs cut him or waived him or sent him down to the Eagles but he’s no longer on the roster. Parker Kelly is playing on the 4th line. I’ll keep an eye out for him. Logan O’Connor is one of my fav players, he’s a 3rd line guy that skates his a$$ off and has a knack for SHG. Love those 3rd and 4th line guys that hustle. Hopefully the Avs aren’t too injury depleted and start playing now that the games count. Going 1-4 or 1-5 in the preseason wasn’t real impressive.

I’m kind of excited to see what Celebrini can do with SJS. I actually drafted him on my fantasy team but ended up dropping him to help fill some holes in my schedule.  Still have Toffoli on my roster tho.  You’re right, things can’t really get worse for the Sharks.

Yeah, it’s not good.

They’ve basically been the AHL Colorado Eagles (plus Mackinnon, Rantanen & Makar).  The team defense and goaltending has been atrocious. Everybody is blaming Georgiev, and his first 2 games were bad, but the D in front of him has been hanging him out.

All top 6 players and our best true D man. Basically missing 2nd and 3rd lines. Line 4 is now 2nd line and guys that should be playing for the Eagles are filling out the roster. And Miles Wood is now DTD after taking a nasty hit last night. They’ll straighten out if they can get a few guys back.

On the plus side, I’ve been betting against them (and on the overs) the last couple games. Eeeeasy money.  :B)   I am expecting them to finally get a W tomorrow when the Ducks come to town.

It’s been painful to watch. 25 goals in 4 games :facepalm:

Fourgiev was horrible the first 2 games. He did better the last 2 but they’re just not good/deep enough to play the way they want. Bednar needs to tone down the high octane offense and focus on taking care of the D zone.

It’s a shame that Mac, Mikko and Makar are just being wasted at this point. Half their roster is only AHL quality. At least the young guys are getting good experience.

How have the Predators and Red Wings not fired their coaches yet? Nashville should be much improved from the good team they were last year, bringing in Stamkos, Marchessault etc, but they have been horrible. And Detroit performing worse than they should be.

Mind you, I’m only upset because I have Forsberg, Josi and Larkin on my fantasy team. All 3 severely underperforming this season. I haven’t been able to bring myself to drop Forsberg or Josi but I did cut Larkin a few weeks ago and just picked him back up a couple days ago after he posted about 5 decent games in a row. He’ll prob start screwing me again today  :lol:

I am leading my ten team fantasy league though. 11-2, next closest is 8-5. Luckily I have Kaprizov (heal up quicker please) and Werenski. My D corp has been outstanding. Also my goalies (Bobrovsky, UPL & Vejmelka) have done well. Had Lankinen while Demko was out and he did great but won’t see near as many starts with Thatcher back so had to drop him when I ran out of IR spots. My forwards with the exception of Kaprizov have been underwhelming.
