Prime Time!!! - Deion Sanders Hired as Colorado Head Coach

Nebraska won bc of their defense that night.  Nebraska made us believe in the fact they were turning the page but in reality they weren't and haven't.  Do I believe Matt Rhule can coach yes but do I think he can coach on this stage and at this place no bc we are 2 seasons in and are hanging on by a thread to get to a wishy washy bowl game that doesn't mean anything.
And you actually think Deion Sanders is the difference in this equation?

Let’s talk in 2-3-4 years time.

I would still 100%, without a doubt, want Rhule over Prime as our head coach.  It's not even close.

Gotta hand it to Deion.  He was hanging by a thread after we dominated them.  But he turned two of the best players in the country into enough to roll through a trash schedule.  And now the hype train is back on to where he went from barely even trying to recruit high school kids to a pretty decent class because of the flash.  And he'll probably get a bunch in the portal again because he can sell everyone on that flash.

That's probably going to be enough to compete well in the Big XII.

He is.  Though some on this board tried to say he was overrated.  Probably in this thread.
I put him first.  Teams have to game plan him on offense and defense.  And he produces and plays a ton on both sides.  And Hunter has dozens of highlight real plays, and plays in crucial moments.  He's amazing.

Plus there really isn't a front runner QB that traditionally leads the way.

The Boise kid has put up numbers, but against teams in a lesser conference. He's had a great year for a 5-9 RB.

I hate that people will hate me for saying this, but all year I've thought the Iowa kid at RB is the best pro prospect at RB in years.  He's built for the NFL and runs like it.  Other than missed tackles on a screen pass, the Huskers somehow shut him down - that was amazing to me.

One of the many things I was wrong about this year was Colorado. I still don't think they can sustain this, there are going to be years when the mercenary nature of the team just doesn't work. But it's how the NFL works - show up, work hard, and as long as you do your job nothing else matters. They also got pretty lucky injury-wise, and I think this roster-building strategy will always be thin on depth.

I thought a lot of the same things.  But they are getting a ton of high school guys with their success this year, so that will help build thier roster.  And they'll probably score well in the portal again.

The biggest thing is getting another five-star QB to replace Shedeur.  That should go a long ways toward bridging the huge gap they were going to have.  And they play in a weak conference.

If Sanders plays the hype train well, he takes over as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, who have nowhere to go but up, and leaves Colorado just as his kids and Travis Hunter are exiting the program.

Deion's track record for turning around programs is much more impressive than Rhule's.  Nothing against Rhule, I'm a Rhule guy now.

But people (conveniently?) forget how bad Colorado was just 3 years ago.  They weren't just losing all their games, they were losing by like 3 or 4 TDs.

If Rhule deserved a shot at the NFL, Sanders most definitely does.

I agree and I also think he would change his "act" a bit in the NFL and it would be more business like.

Most NFL coaches end up getting canned so it is not like the bar is crazy high.  But I could see him doing well.

Deion's strongest pitch in the game is recruiting. He hired a better staff this year to pretty much be hands off while he became the CEO. Why on earth after one year of success would you hire him to an NFL franchise?  Jackson State days do not count. That is a D2 level conference. He just amassed so much talent there there was nothing those SWAC schools could do. He also benefited from two Heisman level players fall in his lap coming to Colorado that he will never get again. One of them being his son.
