The 2024 Election —What did we learn?

I have seen that Trump increased his youth vote (19-29) by +10. My kid sent me videos of the "election" party's on his campus. Probably another excuse for drinking games, but in one video it looked like dozens of kids, male and female, wearing red hats. I asked if they were Maga hats and he said yes.

I just saw a report on how the Republicans hit the college campuses in the swing states hard. Must have worked.

Ya know if it was just “fine with” I could maybe understand it a little. But these a$$h@!es are energized, excited for and down right giddy over one of the most corrupt persons we’ll ever have the displeasure of hearing from or about. I don’t get it.  He is not the type of person that should appeal to many of the people he does. Christians, farmers and hard working people, midwesterners….what in the flying f#&% do they see in this POS that could possibly make them think, yeah, he’s our guy? It’s an enigma.

But I actually think something should be done about unhealthy food. All subsidies that help produce sugary foods/corn syrup should go away. Soda and other foods that meet a certain threshold of sugar % should have their taxes raised to the cigarette tax (20%) and they should not be purchasable with food stamps.

RFK probably worries me the most. You are going to put an antivaxer that thinks seed oils are bad in charge of the FDA. Trump I think mostly doesn't understand how the government actually works so he just fumbles around and gets lucky every now and then. RFK can do real damage with his complete ignorance.

Yeah.  I'm very interested in what this looks like long term.  It's one of two things:

1) The vast majority are so excited because Trump won and think the economy is now going to boom.

or,

2) Everyone is just glad the election is over and just want to get back to normal and back to investing.

You are not wrong. I know lots of Christians that adore Trump, and I think, do you listen to some of the stuff he says and watch what he has done? The answer I will get is that God uses flawed people. Some of that adoration is so strong, I told my wife if the guy survives a mortal head wound someday, buckle up.  :D  I also know Christians that despise him so it's not 100%.  

I honestly think the left pushed to far to fast on many issues and they seem disconnected from the "average joe". They are not listening or concerned about what the "working class" has to say. The talking heads on the left talk down to them, and they needed a place to go. I was listening to Sonny Liston from The View give her take on a video and she started railing against "uneducated women" voting for Trump. Her co-host interrupted and mentioned that maybe calling them uneducated is a bad start if you are trying to get their attention. I would say the same thing with how often I hear the left go for an "ism" when they describe the other side. There are a lot of groups that used to be in their tent that the left has alienated and they don't seem to get it. 

 
I was pretty calm the first 24 hours. But I don’t think there will be a transition of power the next time a Democrat wins the presidential election. There just isn’t any way they haven’t found military leaders they can install who will accept any order.

"The Left pushed too far too fast."  I find this an interesting sentiment.  It's not that their core beliefs are terrible, it's that the American people just weren't ready for how radicalized these beliefs are.  

Men who feel like they are a woman - go change in the locker room with the girls and then set a meet record in the 200m Backstroke.  Smut books in an elementary library - game on.  Little Timmy certainly needs to know how to sexually arouse a peer of his.  Let the border be a complete pass through for millions, illegally, and then only backtrack when it's time to garner a vote.   Just be sure to contrive where conservatives are breaking the law to deflect from your own lawlessness on the matter.  

On the subject of Christians.  I find it also interesting how a person stating that Jesus has transformed his/her life also supports abortion.  Life starts at conception, but because Alpha Sigma Sigma sorority chaplain Jenny can't control her sex drive, she's knocked up and has the kid dismembered in her womb.  These same "Christians" also believe God is on a roll of creating people the incorrect gender.  The Potter just can't get it right, but the clay will fix His mistakes by picking the gender they feel is best.  And when in prison, they get the treatment on the tax payers dime!  To the praise of His glory...

The lunacy and deviancy..."Americans weren't ready for it."  But, with how progressivism works, it'll be reintroduced in a different cup of poison for the masses to drink.
