Although it's a bummer to hear, because UNLV was playing so well.
Sluka is taking the heat on this, but can you fault him? I think UNLV's NIL group is to blame, and dangled a carrot and pulled it away once he signed on Campus.
Keep in mind, Sluka played 4 years at Holy Cross, finished with around 9500 yards (passing and rushing) and 97 touchdowns. He led all D1 QBs last year in rushing yards (over 1200) and one game he ran for 330 yards. Against KU he ran for 124 yards and led UNLV to victory, on the final drive of the game (over 8 minutes).
He also graduated with a Psychology degree. He had about 50 teams showing interest in him when he chose UNLV.
I'm sure there are schools that will provide even more NIL now than he was previously offered.
The bottom line is, as a man, how can you respect something or someone when they don't respect you and lied to you?
