The Offending Posts Commentary Thread

It's a d!(k measuring contest with you. Always.

You call me a simp. What's simping? You're asserting that I'm some how a b!^@h for AOC because I called your bulls#!t. I don't like her, I don't want to date her, I'm not a fan of her. She's a politician who is outside the norm with good and bad ideas.

Would you like a tape measure?  Wtf do you think you're doing besides trying to correct me via your vast "knowledge" and defending a narcissistic politician who blows everything out of proportion.

You're the one trying to measure simp

Definitons matter (like murder). You're confusing facts with beliefs or feelings. Facts are the reality of the universe as it exists. They are the affirmative. They cannot change.
LOL something about this conversation sounded eerily familiar and then I was like... oh yeah... there was a similar debate about definitions before, and why we should all use them in their objectively acceptable manner as opposed to inserting our own subjective interpretations and applications of them.

So I’m confused. The world used to be flat and now it’s a sphere??? I woulda thought it was always a sphere (fact) and what actually changed was people’s beliefs, knowledge and understanding of the fact.
You're correct. And that is the appropriate way to phrase it scientifically and grammatically in 2021.

Curious, did you ever actually watch the footage of that particular shooting?  Not trying to stir old pots, but for me if I just had a verbal recalling of the isntance versus actually watching it I probably wouldn't have considered it murder either.

The definition of murder only matters to a courtroom, and apparently a bunch of shmucks on a message board.  When someone guns someone else who is unarmed down in cold blood, it's murder.  Was the murder justified, that's open to debate.  And this is a really stupid debate at that.  Killin is killin, arguing the definition of it is dumb especially in this instance.  But you brought it up again here because you think you got one over on me that time and you want to stroke your ego I guess.

The rest of this is literally taking a discussion that happened without you, putting it in a hat and pulling it back out like it's a new argument.
I brought up the murder discussion because, again, the definitions of words matter and we appear to be back where we started with that conversation.

And it's a f#&%ing message board. The conversation isn't going to be fluid or timely. Sorry. But I also didn't specifically address you, I addressed everyone and you chose to respond.

It's a message board bud. I don't agree with something you posted. I provide my reasoning. We discuss. Shenanigans ensue. We move on. Get over it.

To be honest, I had to look up our old conversation to remember what that was even about lol. Ashli Babitt's death in D.C., correct?

I saw the initial footage that was available in the weeks following, but if there was something new after that, I did not see it. I ultimately agreed with the Department of Justice's ruling that the officer not face charges. It did not constitute murder in my eyes based on the available facts and overall situation.

Why won’t you admit one of the articles you posted was lying about what she said? If the topic isn’t just a troll job, be willing to have a conversation when people post that stuff. It would be nice if you’d vet it yourself to make sure it’s actually true. She’s said plenty of dumb things, so there should be no need to rely on articles that lie or take her utterly out of context.

There is more footage showing him pointing a gun at an open window basically just waiting for anyone to wander into the iron sights.  It's a lot more telling.

But I predicted the same thing, no charges would come down.  And they didn't.  She put herself in that position as did many others.  But still

I mean....didn't I do just that hours ago?

So I've listened to it and read it and analyzed it for the better part of this morning by actually arguing about it with my very staunch Conservative buddy.  After listening to it I've come to this conclusion:

The original accusation is off base.  It leaves context out and adds words to achieve a specific light to paint her in.  I concede this.  The rest I listened to was her doing her standard shtick of dramatics.  But she did not call Jan 6 essentially serving in war, she did not say that.  Did she mean that?  I doubt it, but I see why some people hope she did.  Either way, the accused quote wasn't said.
