Weird Time for Christians

That’s about the most f#&%ed up application of the Golden Rule as I’ve ever seen. That’s more Old Testament eye for an eye than “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” or “love your neighbor as yourself”.

When I hear people mention some of the great religious leaders in history, Jesus, Mohammed, Abraham, the Buddha, I have to admit I think "pfffft....what about Donald Trump?"

Why?  His words and actions are those of the wisest of sages.

Meanwhile - the polar opposite of Trump, Pope Francis, has passed away a day after Easter.   RIP.  He was a good example to us all.

“At 7:35 this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the home of the Father. His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of his Church,” Cardinal Kevin Farrell said from the chapel of the Domus Santa Marta, where Francis lived.

Francis, who suffered from chronic lung disease and had part of one lung removed as a young man, was admitted to Gemelli hospital on Feb. 14, 2025, for a respiratory crisis that developed into double pneumonia. He spent 38 days there, the longest hospitalization of his 12-year papacy.
