It’s why Rhule is damned if you do, damned if you don’t. He can sink this season rolling out an overwhelmed Dylan hoping the offseason and remaining in season reps make him more ready next year or he can bench him trying to allow for a reset and not to let the situation get uglier. He runs the risk of losing Dylan either way. It’s why you should never hitch your wagon to one player but, not sure he has much choice there either.This has me curious (and I was similarly curious about Dowdell a few games ago), do NIL agreements have playing time built into them? I mean I understand that the narrative of benching DR would need to be managed in the post-presser, which MR would handle very well, but if you’re serious about winning why ride with DR struggling this mightily. Is it simply fear of him walking if he’s benched for a series?
