Trump’s Accomplishments…at levels never seen before (2025 version)

I have a really bad habit of grabbing eggs off the shelf without ever looking at the price (first world problem).
Me too, I mean I look at the price but it’s friggen eggs, whatcha gonna do, not buy them? Gotta have eggs.

The funny (or maybe not so funny) part of this is, the price of eggs has zero to do with the President. Do people really not understand avian influenza or what happens when they have to cull millions of layers?

Side story. We made some equipment for an egg outfit a few years back. We’d never really dealt with eggs so we had a little R&D work involved with how to convey and handle them etc. I asked them for a few dozen eggs and they gave us like 10-12 flats. IIRC a flat is 144 eggs so upwards of 1728 eggs. Everybody in the shop took a bunch home and we cooked breakfast here almost everyday for seemingly ever    The downside was all the hasbrowns, bacon and sausage I had to buy.

Breakfast is the best!

The worst cook, not saying you, can still make a great breakfast!

I can't wait for it to warm up so I can clean and reason my griddle and start doing breakfasts.

I love cooking breakfast, especially with a Blackstone or industrial flat top. I was the head hasher in my fraternity for a couple years. That meant I got to abuse pledges for weekday supper cleanup and cook breakfast for the whole house (less those too hungover to get up and eat) on the weekends. Our cook prepared a lot of stuff ahead of time usually but I had to cook a ton of eggs and sometimes hashbrowns, bacon etc. Got half off my house bill and it was fun. Plus I had 24 hour access to the kitchen…not that anything ever got eaten at 1AM

LOL if you happen to have photos of all those eggs, I'd love to see it. Sounds hysterical. And delicious.

I think I'll pretty much always buy eggs unless a dozen becomes something like... idk $20-$25 or something (currently). I don't actually eat them a lot for breakfast except perhaps on the weekends with my wife. It's usually either a soft scramble or my wife really likes shakshuka. Otherwise, I mostly use them in a lot of Asian-influenced dishes like marinated eggs, fried rices, or soft-boiled eggs for ramen and the like.

Maybe let's do this, why do you think the Dems lost?  I have answers, but most Dems us the "electorate is stupid," argument.  If the Dems keep this up, their asses will get handed to them again.  Why did Trump get so many votes?  I know what I think, but again, what do people that hate Trump think?
Let me not answer your question with a question of my own!

Sorry but that’s a bit harsh. Effectively it may have been a vote for Trump but he did not vote for Trump so it’s out of line saying he did. Our system is dysfunctional. We shouldn’t have to vote for somebody we don’t like just to keep somebody we dislike even more from getting elected. It may work that way but that is hardly anybody here’s fault.
We got the richest man in the world doing nazi salutes at the inauguration. Don't know if @knapplcwas harsh enough.

I get it, Trump and his cronies are beyond horrible. But I’m going to blame the people who actually directly voted for him way before I’ll jump on somebody who voted for a 3rd party candidate, in a state mind you, where the determining electoral votes went to Trump or Harris anyway.

If we’re going to blame the people that didn’t like or vote for either of the candidates, should we also blame the dems who couldn’t come up with a candidate to win what should’ve been the easiest victory in the history of all elections? I’ll limit my ire to the Trump voters and to the system that even allowed him in.

That's fine, you can limit your ire. It's also reasonable to see things from the other side. To say a vote for 3rd party in the most important election of our lifetime was effectively a vote for Trump. This isn't a novel idea.

Trump goes back on his DEI hiring.  Another broken campaign pledge:

I’ve acknowledged that more than a few times. Here’s another, yes, it was effectively a vote for Trump. I just happen to feel there are better people and systems to blame than someone who did not directly cast a vote for Trump. Sue me.

Maybe they could blame themselves!   Maybe they didn’t campaign hard enough.   Maybe they didn’t knock on enough doors to change some minds.   Maybe they didn’t donate enough money to the political party grifters of their side.  Maybe they could understand how the system has worked for more than just the past 10 Presidential elections.  Maybe they could figure out how to win the election the way it exists and not the way they wish it existed.  Maybe they could look within and ask if they worked non-stop to get Kamala elected since Democracy was at stake (at least I was told that anyways, but it’s weird cause I’m still free to do what I’ve done prior to Jan 20, 2025).  But of course they don’t want to do that and look within.   It’s easier to just blame @Crusader Husker for voting third party in a state Trump won handily🤷‍♂️
