Sorry homie, won't happen again...I really don't want to get in the middle of this entertaining fight that some of you guys are in.......but this word really upsets me. As a parent of a special needs son, I get tired of hearing this word and I always have a nice little chat with my high school students for using it. It's tough to teach our children not to use words like this when we use them in our every day language.I never did say we were different...walks, how are you any different than Polo given you constantly gripe about Beck but Pelini gets a pass from you? He hired Beck didn't he? I'm not a Bo fan either. The guy's had plenty of time to put his mark on this program. Tommy has had what, 11 games?
But did I go full retard in the TA thread about people giving their opinions?
No worries buddy, I don't know him personally so if you say he's a jacka$$ then I'll just take your word for it.Sorry homie, won't happen again...I really don't want to get in the middle of this entertaining fight that some of you guys are in.......but this word really upsets me. but my opinion on his jackassery, still stands...
No argument from me.But he makes it sound like Tommy either throws a TD or throws to the defender every play. He puts the "hit the stone-handed defenders between the numbers" line in almost every one of his posts about Armstrong.I guess I'm not sure how many in total, but I think I can recall at least 3 against McNeese St not including the INT. Would have to go back and re-watch the game. Which I refuse to do except for the final minuteI've watched the first three games of this season. Can someone show me where Tommy Arm-so-strong has drilled tons of defenders between their numbers and they've dropped them?
74Hunter keeps bringing this up and I can only recall one, maybe two, maaaybe three times.
please take 2 minutes and clue me in.
He's like a really angry version of HookedonhuskersSkers...anyone know where LP is now? I'm thinking in jail in Cal. I'm going to Cal next year. Why not visit LP if he will accept a visit from me? Anyone know where he is? I feel so bad for the guy and yes I know he did some totally sh** things I still feel bad for the guy. I never in my life visited a guy in prison. But I should. LP...where is he? I'd like to look into the possibility of visiting LP. Hope the guy is doing better.
You seriously toss Bill Callahan's name around like a nine year old who has discovered curse words. The program still has not recovered and gotten over the hurdle created by that catastrophic failure on Oct 6, 2010. Everything was there for the taking. Texas is down, we can step on their throat and rip their heart out as we stroll off to the Big Ten with our finger in the air and the final Big 12 CCG trophy cradled in our other arm, and we crapped our pants. A win that day like it shoulda been coulda been a huge catapult, instead, i think is just set things back quite a ways. In some ways, that day may have been more damaging than the Callahan era if you figure in all the momentum the program had that day before kickoff.
Polo- I agree with a lot of your positions on Pelini and the coaching staff but c'mon, let's keep it real. Callahan's name does deserve to be tossed about like the worst curse word a person knows. Pelini and Beck and Paps may have screwed the pooch on more than one occasion and they may not have us back over the hump and they haven't shed that 4 loss bugaboo yet but they are nowhere near comparable to what Callahan and Pederson did to this program. Don't blame the relief workers for what the natural disaster caused to happen. Callahan is a dirty word. f#*k him and Pede, f#*k em both right in the mouth. You seriously toss Bill Callahan's name around like a nine year old who has discovered curse words. The program still has not recovered and gotten over the hurdle created by that catastrophic failure on Oct 6, 2010. I'll never understand how you can rant and rave and say that Bill Callahan was The Worst Thing Ever To Happen when it's convenient to whatever dumbass argument you're currently having about the coach you support had a moment comparable to the Worst Thing Ever and it wasn't even the worst loss that year.
I never said they weren't bad for the program. But maybe, just maybe, it might be time to let go a little about what happened almost seven years ago.Polo- I agree with a lot of your positions on Pelini and the coaching staff but c'mon, let's keep it real. callahan was bad when he was here, but there were hardly any residual effects from his tenure. i mean, bo rebuilt the program with the help of callahan (his recruiting efforts). callahan was bad for the program, no argument. but to say he had a lasting effect is not true. bo's first season was no worse than his most recent. and his second and third were pretty good.Polo- I agree with a lot of your positions on Pelini and the coaching staff but c'mon, let's keep it real. To say nothing of the fact that being helplessly obsessed with the past to a fault is perhaps the biggest thing holding Nebraska back. What were Ron Kellog's stats that game prior to the final drive?I think during that game, Tommy could have made that pass. Unfortunately it would have been completed to a Northwestern player.
bo's first season was no worse than his most recent. and his second and third were pretty good.
you make good arguments. counterpoint, both resulted in a gator bowl win.I think 9-4 with Joe Ganz and co. while getting obliterated by Oklahoma and Missouri is quite a step down from 9-4 with freshman Tommy and every game competitive.bo's first season was no worse than his most recent. and his second and third were pretty good.
Regardless, it's weird how coaches are able to have success early sometimes isn't it? Especially when you think of Hoke going 11-2 his first year.
