What did we learn Indiana edition

Great sign that the offensive staff needs to be overhauled 1.5 years into Rhules tenure! I’m sure he’ll get it right the second time around. Maybe more of his friends have children he can hire!

I mean every coach makes mistakes, I'm not bothered by it unless he doesn't correct it.

There’s these moments where you just realize it’s not going to work.  I had that moment with Frost in Boulder in 2019. I feel similar right now but don’t think I’m quite there yet. I just don’t think well coached veteran teams lose this way to anyone…not just the final score but just absolutely passionless way they went about it.

I’ll see how I feel on Monday. Right now it’s just all bad.

That's not even true... It's 28 points. The 31 point game was Purdue last year, and one of the TDs was a blocked field goal returned for a TD.
Well that’s true. If we take defensive scores out of the average offensive points per game for a Satt led offensive, it’s likely much more bleak.

Indiana had NEVER scored 50+ in a Big Ten conference game. Not ever. In their history in the Big Ten Conference. Now they have. We aren't serious anymore. Our past is so far in the rear view that I can't even see who we once were. ITs disgraceful and I'm pissed.

I quit caring 15 years ago..even OU has cycled through 20 great years and is down now...just wait , they cycle back into 10 win seasons or better in 3-4 years and  we will still be a 6-6 team with yet another new coach. yawn....

Satterfield and our WRs are going to destroy the best QB prospect at Nebraska since Tommie Frazier (possibly ever) if we don't find a way to replace them.  Satterfield doesn't know how to use the players he has, and the WRs can't block or get separation against man defense.  We don't have a single consistent weapon on offense.

Our defense is a paper tiger.  They get shredded against any offense more capable than ours.  Colorado was likely an anomaly.

Rhule needs to seriously evaluate the depth chart and coaching staff, at the very least.  Keeping everything status quo will cost him his job.

They earned the right to say whatever they want. But, I’ve never understood this mentality. Why not come out and say we played great against a very good defense?  His comments don’t give credit to their offense.

I don't think this loss to Indiana was about mistakes so much as about differences in quality of players and yes coaches.  And I say that with confidence and hope that both continue to improve.

As much as I wouldn't like it, we have to give Rhule another year no matter what. See what he changes up and what not. Doubt it'll matter much, but maybe he turns things around. Year 3 Rhule has traditionally been a good one, but Nebraska is not like Waco or Philadelphia. We can't sneak up on anyone.

After another year of this crap, though?

You know what drum I'm beating, baby. The only thing we *haven't* tried since 2003.

We need to get back to being NEBRASKA.

We need our identity back. Smashmouth. Hard-nosed. Move the sticks, shorten the game, rest the defense.

It's the only way.

It’s a dumbass comment.

Reminds me of when stupid fanbases chant overrated after their team beats an undefeated opponent. Um, do you really want to say the team you just beat actually weren’t good?

I take it to mean that maybe it will open people’s eyes to how good the Indiana offense is, doing what they did against a “legit defense”. People have been downgrading them based on not playing a “good” defense.

I don’t take it as a shot at Nebraska.
